Summer Cocktails: Pimm’s Cup

Hot summer days and refreshing cocktails are one of our favorite combinations.  All month long we’ll be sharing some of our favorite summer cocktail recipes from Jill of A Better Happier St. Sebastian!

Pimm’s Cup
makes 1 cocktail

3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz fresh orange juice
1 tsp sugar
3 oz Pimm’s no. 1
6 oz ginger ale
lemon & lime wheels for garnish

In a shaker glass filled with ice combine lemon juice, orange juice, sugar, and Pimm’s No 1. Stir thoroughly until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over a cocktail glass filled with ice, top with ginger ale and serve with lemon and lime wheels.

What I really love are those straws!! Where can one find them?

This is NOT a Pimms Cup. It’s a classic for a reason! If you want to screw around with it, fine; but don’t claim your cute little oncoction is something it’s not!

Here’s the correct Pimm’s Cup recipe (I’m a Brit so it’s approved). 1/3 Pimms, 2/3’s Sprite, add: Slices of lemon, lime, apple, berries (+ cucumber if you like) and a BIG handful of mint.
