Villa Cortes Nosara Retreat Center

A serene heaven, lush with tropical foliage, ocean views, and quaint little houses is what you will find at the Villa Cortes Nosara Retreat Center. When the gates opened and the taxi driver pulled in, I think we all needed a little pinch to be sure that we weren’t dreaming. This property was our home and yoga studio for the next 10 days, and what a treat it was to stay at such an amazing place during the Pura Vida Getaway.

The villa is divided into three houses, each with it’s own personality and style. Brightly colored walls make up the perimeter of each casa, and the chosen decor was true to Costa Rica. Wooden masks hung from doors and next to windows, wind chimes made of driftwood and seashells created soft soundscapes, and bohemian printed bedspreads made up each bed. The salt water infinity pool was a favorite, and most of our time was spent lounging around its edges or floating around like mermaids in the clear blue water. The yoga pavilion overlooking the pool was where we would spend most of our mornings and evenings practicing with Rachel and Dennis. My favorite classes were those that fell just before the sun set. Red and orange light would peek through the trees and shine into the yoga pavilion, giving off the warmest glow and best vibes.

A jungle path lies on the side of the retreat center and leads down to the bottom of a hill,  steps from Playa Guiones, and a short 20 minute walk into the heart of Nosara. It was such a pleasure to be able to return to such a beautiful and peaceful place after long days under the sun. Take a look inside the Villa Cortes Nosara Retreat Center!

I’m from Costa Rica and there’s any other beach that I’ve fallen more in love with than Nosara. Everything in there is beautiful and all the people in there look so calm and relax.
If any of you go there, go to the secret part of Guiones beach, you’ll love it! And if you guys need help in Costa Rica, just let me know ;)

Did you guys have your itinerary planned for you through another organisation, or by the lovely ladies at Free People? I’m looking to travel to Costa Rica next year and the activities you did look so fun and relaxing!
