Fall Pumpkin Decor Inspiration With Terrain

If you guys caught my henna and wood burned pumpkins last week, you’ll know that I’m pretty pumped on the blue ones this year.

The unique color brings along a cooler feeling, and they’re a great thing to incorporate into your fall decor. No one does this better than Terrain. That store is full of inspiration, and they have some amazing fall displays right now that incorporate all different colored pumpkins, including the blue ones! If you’re looking for a new way to display your pumpkins, Terrain showed us how to make the perfect ombre pumpkin tower. Beth, the assistant nursery manager, walks us through it below:

First you need to stock up on some pumpkins in all different sizes — large, small, and anything in-between. Make sure to get a variety of colors too, so the ombre affect can be achieved, now is a great time to decide whether you’ll go from dark to light, or light to dark.

Another thing Terrain is selling this year are these amazing Stargazer Lights. Discreet and malleable, these add in the perfect holiday glow!

stacks of pump

You can make the pumpkin stack by simply stacking them freely on top of one another (this way works great as a table centerpiece!), or you can make taller stacks by placing them in a Garden Tuteur. Start with the largest and flattest pumpkin you have. You can go from light to dark, or dark to light, depending on your preference.

We started with lighter pumpkins, then worked our way up, finishing off with some baby orange pumpkins. Just keeping stacking, going from largest to smallest.

Wrapping the lights around the garden tuteur helps to hold the pumpkin stack in place. If you don’t want to use lights, wrapping some wire around the stack will also do the trick.

Once your pumpkin stack is complete, add in some dried leaves for more fall color. These make great additions to a doorstep, or indoors at the base of a staircase!

Have fun, and a big thanks to Terrain for showing us how it’s done!
