Double Take

Keep it light, move in unison… two things that photographer Alexandra Valenti had in mind for our recent shoot, Double Take.

“With this shoot, I wanted to capture two things. The first was symmetry. Always gravitating towards pattern and repetition, I wanted to see the girls mimic each other, look like each other, move in unison,”  explains Valenti.

“The other was friendship and joy. I love seeing shoots where the models appear as though they’re having fun — and not fake fun — but the kind of fun where you can really tell the girls truly like each other and are having a good time. As a viewer, I think it’s actually more relatable and it’s so refreshing. It’s important to keep things light in between the more somber or serious-looking shoots…”

We couldn’t agree more.

  1. The models are darling; they both resemble Amanda Peet!!
    Kudos to makeup & hair also. Bright lippy is a must (i have a great Tom Ford shade I need to use!)
    FUN photo shoot – SMILES all around :}

  2. They are adorable! I must confess, though, that Martha Hunt is my favorite and doesn’t seem to be used as much. She’s just in a class of her own.

  3. Are you guys getting that version of the Austin dress in? I love it and can’t find it on the site in white or with the bell sleeves! It’s beautiful!
