FP Me Events Across the Globe

Alabama to Nashville, Austin to Ohio. Vancouver… San Francisco… Richmond. If there’s one thing a mere glance at our FP Me community will teach you, it’s that incredible fashion, style and creativity isn’t just relegated to the fashion capitols of the world. No, it’s happening everywhere. And this past year we set out to connect with the FP Me users who are demonstrating exactly that. Our team journeyed near and far — and in some cases our attendees did, too — to connect and collaborate, to join together with the incredible spirit of our FP Me girls.

Today we’re taking a look back at not only the gorgeous locations we set out for, but the FP Me users who brought their style, freedom and expression to each event. Check out what they have to say about their experiences below, and be sure to click through to the event recaps:

Coast to Coast: Nuraluralura

“I really loved feeling a sense of community, connecting, sharing an experience and working with the other girls, including the Free People staff. Laughing, being silly, running into place after waiting for oncoming trains to capture a quintessential New York moment in the thick of winter.”

“FP Me, to me, means the individualized expression of self through style with beautiful clothing and accessories that epitomize a sense of independence, freedom and wild spirit. And then being able to share that with others, this aspect of self, which makes Free People not only more human and accessible, but creates a sense of being a part of something.”

Miami: AnaisAlexandre

“Hanging with FP Me for the day was like hanging out with the most wild, carefree group of friends! You’ve always wondered how FP girls get that effortless style? The secret is the FP Me team! They work hard and play harder, bringing that relaxed and easy going lifestyle everywhere they go!”

“I remember laughing while ice cream melted down my arm, trying not to fall while Roller Blading in the sun and relaxing with a fun group of friends in the sand. It was pretty much the perfect day.”

Austin: Arieness

“Being chosen to attend the FP Me event  was not only a beautiful experience, but I got to do it with my best friend. It was the perfect way to end our senior year of college. Our dream is be have our own fashion brand and style together and Free People helped to bring us closer to that dream, making my vision so much clearer and inspiring me to do more than what I imagined in the first place! Thank you so much for the opportunity! I will always cherish this memory.”

San Francisco: BrynFowler

“My favorite moment was taking pictures with all the other girls and being able to see all their different styles. There were so many awesome girls I got to meet, which was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the day. To me, FP Me means new and vibrant styles coming from girls who I can relate to.”

Atlanta: Hopieannc

“My daily routine is to take care of my husband who is full-care, meaning completely handicapped, vent dependent and fed through an IV as he battles ALS. We live a beautiful life and try to remain positive but sometimes its hard and sad to watch the person you love be so sick. Being able to participate in a fun day with so many amazing and positive girls was such a nice way to spend a day “off” from being full time care-giver. It was amazing to explore Atlanta with the bloggers and to be able to experience the genuine love and kindness that Free People embodies. Not only does Free People have an amazing aesthetic — they also have amazing hearts! Giving your customers an experience of a life time is an amazing way to give back. So thank you for a fun and girly day off from the harsh reality of ALS.”

Camping: Saralibby

“What I loved most about the FP Me Goes Camping Event was meeting a group of girls connected through one shared interest: our love of not only Free People clothes, but the lifestyle as well. Being free on the sandy beach, camping under the twinkling stars and doing arts and crafts by the firelight brought us together. This spirit of positive, feminine camaraderie is rare to find. Many of these lovely ladies have become dear friends of mine and I’ll always have warm memories of the unique experience.”

“To me, FP Me means expressing yourself. I love exploring the FP Me homepage and getting inspired by the free individuality. I am amazed at some of the beautiful imagery captured by this community of innovative folks. I have always been a lover of all things Free People, but this platform brings the clothes to life through inventive styling and dazzling scenery. Daily I am motivated to keep expressing myself fearlessly and with abandon because I know I’ll have the support of these like-minded gals.“

Alabama: Lauryntaylor

“My favorite part of the Free People Birmingham shoot was climbing into the “O” of the old sign at the top of the Redmont Hotel! Through FP Me I have learned how to style my favorite Free People pieces in so many different ways!”

ChicagoPpritikin

“I was so excited when I received the email to do the FP Me shoot in Highland Park. It was so amazing getting to know the other girls involved and being able to meet everyone from the home office. Every part of the day was an experience I will never forget, but I think my favorite moment of the day was having a great time in the flower fields with new friends. To me, FPMe is an avenue for expression, allowing users to showcase their personality through clothes and outfits they put together and also to be inspired by others. I am so happy to have been a part of the shoot in Highland Park because I was introduced to so many incredible women who I may not have had the opportunity to meet had it not been for FP Me.”

Vancouver: Alexcentomo

“My favorite moment at the FP Me event was when we all sat around for dinner and shared our stories with each other. It’s crazy to think that people from different places can be so different, but have so much in common. We all shared something special and I don’t think I’ll ever experience anything like that again. FP Me has really opened my eyes. Not only with fashion, but with travel and lifestyle as well. I always get fascinated to see how people style the same piece of clothing completely differently when they live on the other side of the world. FP Me is able to bring people together in a way that’s very positive and exciting.”

Richmond: Eatingbirdfood

“The whole FP Me Richmond event was amazing, but I absolutely loved horseback riding through the hills at Graves Mountain Lodge. The views were stunning! Thank you for providing a wonderful community of women and planning events that allow us all to get together and build bonds beyond those that are formed online.”

I wish Free People was in Norway

You say ‘Across the Globe’, but you really mean ‘Across North America’ – Free People is an amazing brand and with an amazing ethic; it would be so lovely if you had a presence (and held events) in other countries and continents… it would make my year for Free People to have a base in the UK :)

Rebecca-
I looks like they had events in Australia, the UK, and Canada last year! It seems like they are expanding to other countries, gotta start somewhere right?!
I think they are hosting an event in the UK on Jan 20th….you should check it out:

Thank you Carly! I see the illustration at the top of the post now includes the UK and Oz :) Thanks for posting the link, it’s great to see that there is a more local event to me! I didn’t mean to sound negative in my previous comment, just guess I look at the amazing events the US has (and all those gorgeous stores!) and always wish I could be there! x
