A Night of Yoga in the Big Apple: #FPLETSMOVE NYC

Candles burnin’, bodies movin’, good vibes flowin’.

The Green Building  transformed into a sanctuary last Tuesday night in Brooklyn. The space was lit up from the glow of embers and sparkling chandeliers that hung from the high ceilings. It felt as though a spell was cast throughout the room, but one that was ever so welcoming. Guests lined up outside as they waited for the hour of movement to strike. As they entered, yoga matts were placed about, and the ballroom filled with friendly faces and warm smiles. Our teacher for the night, Talia Sutra, made her way to the front of the room and set the tone for the next 60 minutes.

She guided the group through an amazing yoga class that touched on all realms, coaxing our bodies to move and our muscles to warm. The one thing I loved is how unified everyone seemed to be. We all put forth effort that’s unique to our own practice, but the room felt connected… strong… bonded. We all shared the space that night, and together, we moved.

Our sountrack was curated by DJ Suga Shay. Feet-steppin’, body-moving tunes picked everyone up throughout the evening, and healthy eats were provided by Sweetgreen, some much needed fuel after the class.

In celebration of a day of movement around the world, six cities were joined together in 24 hours, and we couldn’t have done it without help from you all. It was amazing to see everyone come together in New York, and I can only bet that the amount of good energy present rang true for all the other cities. It was truly a beautiful sight, and it felt incredible to be a part of something so inspiring.

From us to you, thank you for a magical night of movement.

Special thanks to:

The Green Building for the amazing space and warm hospitality.

Talia Sutra for your beautiful presence and leading us through a wonderful night of yoga.

DJ Suga Shay for the infectious beats.

The Crunchy Radish for your healthy insight.

Women’s Health Magazine for your support.

and Sweetgreen for the delicious food!

This is beautiful. The energy is apparent just through the photos. Everyone looks amazing and powerful – so beautiful! After doing some research I found Suga Shay’s soundcloud with a sweet Galentines day mix or 2: https://soundcloud.com/sugashay
