This post comes from our ladies over at Free People Wicker Park!
Is there anything more hopeful than the prospect of spring? We look forward to the blooms, the warmth of the sun and the shedding of our layers. In the city of Chicago, we endure through brutal winters and bone chilling temperatures. It’s no wonder we jump at the first sign of spring. It may be a little early for patio season but this past weekend, tucked into a magical alley in the West Loop area of the city, we embraced the unseasonably warm 30 degree weather and pretended for the day. Underneath a smattering of twinkle lights and against a painted mural wall, three friends emerged from hibernation. A beautiful floral arrangement, a pink batch of cotton candy and a muted, simple color palette helped us forget the snow and embrace the warmth… if only for the day.
