Miami Travel Guide With Amanda Julca

This post comes from our friend, Amanda Julca– a photographer based in Miami, FL!

Miami is known as the Magic City, the burgeoning, tropical city by the sea.
Being the multicultural mecca of the US, the city is an international center of life, entertainment, and the arts. From poolside cocktails at the Standard, the painted walls and indie bars and cafes of Wynwood, glitzy hotels and pastel Art Deco architecture of South Beach, to the colorful and historic Calle Ocho street of Little Havana, Miami offers a rich blend of experiences to be had from morning to night.

During the week, I find myself strolling any of the amazingly diverse districts in Miami and catching the gorgeous tropical sunsets beneath palm trees in places in between. With a melting pot of residents and the constant flow of international visitors, inspiration from all over the world finds itself comfortably situated in Miami. Cuisine in Miami is as diverse as the population, with a strong influence from Latin America and the Caribbean. They say the best way to experience a city is through its food. On any given weekend, I can be found experiencing any of the amazing restaurants around town, from places like historic Cuban bar Ball & Chain in Little Havana, Panther Coffee in Wynwood, Soya e Pomodoro in the Downtown Historic District, Oak Tavern in high-end Design District, PubBelly Sushi gastro pub on Sunset Harbor, to the best of Haitian cuisine at TapTap on South Beach. By nightfall, I join many other locals and visitors in enjoying the best in beverages and handcrafted cocktails around town at places like Broken Shaker at Freehand, Kush in Wynwood and Radio on South Beach.

In Miami, we squeeze as much life and magic out of each and every day, from the moment the sun rises over the ocean to long past sunset. Pay a visit and I can guarantee you’ll fall in love.

I love the bright colors in this shoot! My favorite piece is the strappy white bra, I think it would look so pretty under a open back maxi dress.

I live in Miami and love hearing other people’s favorite spots. Soya y Pomodoro is deff a little hidden gem not many outsiders know about. This photoshoot was flawless!

Every single one of these hotels looks absolutely stunning! Even the hostels look amazing. I love the design and function. I am going to bear these options in mind when I make it to Brussels.
