This post comes to us from our Regional Social Media Manager, Dawn!
The Hangout Music Festival, located right on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama is a one-of-a-kind festival experience that you must put on your to-see list. Imagine bare toes in the sand, the ocean breeze in your hair, the “just right” perfect temperature of May in the south, and the waves just a few steps away… sounds like the perfect vacation, right? Now add two main stages directly on the sand where you can expect to see the likes of Spoon, Major Lazer, Odesza, My Morning Jacket and Beck… just to name a few. Well, that’s what you can expect if you are lucky enough to make it down to the Gulf this weekend!
Those of you who know me know that this is the time of year when I go “on-tour” making the rounds to my favorite music festivals. Of course being located in my home state of Alabama, the Hangout is certainly one I cannot miss! I always look forward to seeing old favorites, but I also can’t wait to discover and share new music. I’ve put together a playlist of some of my personal must-see picks for the weekend, including both old favorites and newbies that I’m excited to be seeing for the first time. I’ll be listening to this playlist all week as I prepare for my trip, dancing and packing and dancing some more. I hope you enjoy it as well and look forward to seeing some of you there!
+ Will I see you at Hangout? Let’s meet up!

Festivals are so much fun! I love the music!
If I still lived in AL I would probably go just for fun (the beach!), but these days the MTV crowd would just be too much to justify the drive. :/
I’m headed to the gulf for the festival tomorrow and am so excited! Thanks for the playlist and see you there!
