The Countryside Wedding Hair Tutorial You Can Do Yourself

To me, there’s no better locale for an intimate wedding than the countryside. I may be a bit biased, as my mother’s rural farm set the stage for my own nuptials, but think about it… a sunlit field, the sweeping sound of birdsong filling the air around you, rows of guests waiting to witness the exchange of vows beneath an endless blue sky… I’m hard-pressed to think of a more romantic scene.

And one of the best things about a countryside wedding? While, sure, a rustic barn is a gorgeous location for a formal event, the country offers an opportunity to relax a little and literally let your hair down. To show us how to do just that, today Nashville-based hairstylist Leah Hoffman is sharing a look that’s ideal for anyone attending a countryside wedding, whether you’re the bride, guest, or part of the wedding party. Check out the full how-to below, plus a variation:

Part your hair with a deep side part and begin braiding at the top (use the below photos as a guide), taking new sections from the hairline as you work your way down.

Backcomb the tail to secure without an elastic.

Pull the remaining hair off to the side and braid or twist it together with the first braid.

Braid to the end and finish it off with a metal hair cuff or elastic. This style looks so cute with a hat!

I’ve seen people wear rings/jewels in their hair and always wondered how they did it! So much simpler than I thought. Thanks for this!

OMG~ 2 girls are so beautiful from their clothes and their hair. I really love it. BTW, the girl who is wearing blue dress has a wonderful hair, it is so suitable for these hot “lazy” days. I will try it …. we are in summer <3
