A yoga-centric festival provides unconventional style inspiration for those who look closely enough.
This post comes from our Southwest/Mountain Social Media Specialist, April!
When I think of festival style my mind turns to cut-off denim, fringe and a flower crown here and there. But this time around, Wanderlust Aspen provided a different perspective on festival fashion; a look into what happens when you mix movement with summer tradition.
When I arrived at the base of Snowmass Mountain, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a weekend full of movement did not overshadow the idea of getting creative with one’s look. I did not spot any denim cut-offs but I did see many expressing themselves through intricate straps and creative cutouts. Spandex and sports bras were accessorized with feathers and beads, and when the sun went down and classes drew to an end your typical yoga pant was traded in for a more relaxed harem style. Body paint and temporary tattoos were also must haves at Wanderlust, adding that finishing touch to a day spent dedicated to yoga. It was very inspiring to see a new take on festival style and I am excited to work what I saw into my own fitness style, as well as everyday life!
