Blogger Diary: In the Blink of an Eye

This summer has moved by at a astonishing pace, leaving me with beautiful memories and the realization that it is always best to simply embrace the ride.

This post comes from our blog intern, Natalie!

Where did the time go? I’ve found myself constantly revisiting this contemplation, wondering how I seemingly blinked my eyes to find the sweltering summer days of June and July whisked past me, now simply memories to hold dear forever. As much as I tried to make the time slow, to savor each enchanting moment in Philadelphia and the home office, August has inevitably arrived. Today I bid adieu to this beloved city and what amounted to an incredible summer.

As swiftly as these months appear to have moved, when I take time to truly reflect, I am flooded with an overwhelming amount of beautiful moments that collectively made my time here a one-of-a-kind experience. From traveling to Newport, Rhode Island to cover a music festival, to creating unique projects to share with readers, I wouldn’t trade this incredible experience for the world. Days will always move forward at a rapid pace and change is inescapable, so during my summer here I have found that it’s best to truly embrace the ride – leaning into each new twist and turn and letting my hair down to catch the wind.

Summer & life in general always tends to Flutter by quicker every passing year. See you on the West Coast. :]

I certainly hope that last line means you will be freelance contributing. I love your fresh perspective and always look forward to your posts! With relation to your question, I’ve embraced summer by photographing as many summer sunsets as I can and practicing golden hour photography. :)

I totally agree that summer and time in general goes by way too quickly! I think that it’s hard to take time for everyone.

I’m not so great at just enjoying the ride! But gosh you make me aspire to (you also make me aspire to looking like something out of a Jane Austen novel running as a barefoot blonde through the forest).
