FP Let’s Move: We’re Coming To New Orleans!

Free People is headed to New Orleans for another #FPLetsMove event!

First off, we wanted to give a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who participated in the Pitch Your Studio competition! We had some incredible submissions from all over the U.S., but only one studio could come out on top. We are excited to announce our winner, the New Orleans-based Reyn Studios! On August 12th, Free People is taking over Reyn for an entire day. There will be three candlelit yoga classes, healthy bites from City Green, and tote bag giveaways full of fun surprises for everyone who attends the event! Click here to find out more and to RSVP!

And just like any city we roll through, there’s always time to explore…

What should the team and I check out in New Orleans? I’ve been to the city a couple times before, but would love to hear about the interesting places you all love and the fun things to see and do! Let us know in the comments below!

Oh darn! I wish I could make it! There are plenty of things to do in NOLA though. If you don’t mind waiting and go early, get some beignets at Cafe du Monde. They are delicious. I also recommend going around the French Quarter in the market. Lots of great little stands.

Even just walking down the streets is a lovely time. There’s plenty of bars for an interesting nightlife. I know there’s a vintage candyshop down there as well, although I forget the name!

Hope you enjoy NOLA :)

I always tell people about the Bywater Neighborhood. It’s beyond the Marigny Neighborhood (Frenchmen St. right off of The French Quarter is a great place for live music), and has an artistic vibe to it. Some cool street art and great bars/restaurants. There is a great BBQ place there called “The Joint” and a cool wine bar with an outdoor space called Bacchannal Wine Bar. Take the time to walk around the neighborhood and enjoy the calmness it has to offer in comparison to The French Quarter.

Enjoy!

I’ll start with street art and ..The murals in the courtyard at the Halfmoon are pretty amazing.
One-eyed Jacks & the Civic are my two favorite place to see music.
So many place to eat… my new favorites are Shaya & Peche.
Bacchanal was mentioned but its worth mentioning again….
There are 2 important trees to visit while you are here. One is in Audubon Park “the tree of life” and the other is the “wind chime tree” in City park.

Enjoy our amazing city… We love that you are coming!
