Meet Lauren Tengy — artist, city dweller, and the ultimate style muse…in the first of a new monthly series highlighting some of our fave FPMe gals.
This post comes from our FPMe contributor, Lauren Tengy
I was always an unusual girl, with a fiery imagination and unlike any other. I guess you could say I’m a connoisseur of the imaginative. A chameleon, whose valleity is to embody all that I have ever imagined possible for myself. And believe me when I say that’s a lot.
I grew up in a small town by the sea, and it is this enchanted place to which I owe all that I am today. For it was here that I spent each day anew…one day a mermaid, the next a magician. This was where I learned to dream.
I have always had a passion for adventure, something my father undoubtedly bestowed upon me. My need for exploration eventually pushed me to the point where I could no longer be kept by this place. I needed something grander. I needed a place where my imagination was unrestricted.
So I ended up in New York.
New York, New York, where dreams spider through its concrete majesty. New York has been my home for quite some time now. It is where I am my most advantageous. It is where I am my most creative. And it is here where I have begun to establish my career in the art world.
I believe my enthusiasm for the arts stems directly from my fierce curiosity. I am intrigued by the ways in which artists translate their inspiration, in whatever medium.
Although New York offers me a constant supply of inspiration, there are often times where I crave something fresh, something completely unfamiliar to spark my imagination. It is in these moments where I find myself standing at JFK, suitcase in hand.
This is precisely how I found myself in Montana. Sweet, sweet Montana. Dazzling in all its magnificent glory. All the paintings in the world could not quench my thirst for beauty quite like that of the sun kissing its mountain peaks, ever so delicately.
Thank you, Lauren! <3 Stay tuned later this week for Lauren’s review of our FP Escapes retreat in Yellowstone…
