Matcha Donuts by Rawcells

Desserts should not only be yummy, but truly healing…

The post comes from Rawcells owner Natasha James, maker of vegan treats that nourish on a cellular level.

Matcha Donuts

Ingredients

2 cups King Arthur gluten free all-purpose flour

1/2 cup coconut sugar

1 1/2 tbsp matcha powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup almond milk

1/3 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup applesauce

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

2 tsp baking powder

Method

Preheat your oven to 350 F. Throw all ingredients in a high speed blender. Place the batter in a piping bag (or a DIY piping bag using a Ziploc bag, and cutting off the tip).

Lightly grease a donut pan using coconut oil and pipe the pan full. Bake for 13 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a cooling rack before icing.

Matcha Icing

Ingredients

3 cups powdered sugar

3 tsp matcha green tea powder

7 tbsp almond milk

Method

Blend the ingredients in a high speed blender. Drizzle over the matcha donuts.
