Post image for 3 Ingredient Natural Hair Detangler

I have very long hair, and I suffer from tangled locks a lot more than not. But no matter what length your hair is, chances are you often encounter annoying tangles. Taking a brush to them sometimes won’t even do the trick, so that’s when you bring in a reinforcement– hair detangler. Read more »

Looking forward to experimenting! My hair is a perpetual knot. Warm Regards, Alexandra

I agree about the tangle teaser brush, it's the best brush ever and really takes care of the problem. I also have long hair and my solution was to stop using conditioner. I know what you're thinking WHAT that would make it worse and for a week my hair was weird, but after that it went back to normal, less hair falls out and I have no tangles. It's just something else to make companies money and it's very bad for our hair.

Post image for The Cookbooks You Need On Your Bookshelf

I was gifted my first cookbook at the age of 10. I still have it, too: The Pillsbury Book of Baking. Every now and then I take it down from the shelf, usually during the holidays when I’m making something a little outrageous and a lot sweet. It may not be on heavy rotation these days, but that first book taught me to love recipes and baking. Read more »

The Forest Feast by Erin Gleeson is my favorite cookbook. Very simple, beautiful pictures, vegetarian. Fun ideas for parties and every day cooking.
Becca -Aug 22, 2014, 10:01PM
This post was fate! I've been wanting to out together a journal/scrapbook off all the recipes I come across on blogs, in magazines and photocopied out of friends cookbooks, because I seem to make them once and then I forget where I saw them. That way I know I love everything in the book! I will need one for clean eating and one for indulgences I think :p thanks for the post :)

Love Vancouver, used to live there... there is so much to explore. :) -Granville Island: This is SUCH a must! It's an amazing place on the water with tons of art galleries, cafes, shops, an amazing produce and artisanal food market, playhouses and theatres, and Emily Carr University of Art all sort of crammed together. It's delightful -West 4th and Commercial Drive for shopping -Punjabi Market in East Van - shop for pashminas, bangles, spices and other beautiful imports from India, eat delicious affordable authentic curries and chai -Richmond Night Market: Richmond is a suburb of Van and is home to North America's biggest southeast/Taiwanese-style night market in the summers. Such a must! -The Skytrain is a pretty great for getting around -UBC has a beautiful campus with great views of the water -Tea! Canada has a more British-style tea culture than the U.S. and the city has some pretty amazing tea stores

One of my favorite travel tips is to walk - never miss a thing! I think there's something to be said about tour guides, too. A little bit of an antiqued tactic with google maps & what-not - but sounds like a lot of fun! Warm Regards, Alexandra

Post image for Dreams Of A Silverado Night

Those last nights of summer where you can feel the golden hours soaking into your soul.  They knock at the wild heart that lies beneath, and you can feel a new adventure settling into your bones.  Pack your bags and take to the road. Bond with the sounds of the old Silverado engine as it tells stories of the unknown.  Find the adventure, chase the light…let the sounds and sights of the final days of a northwest summer prevail.
