I love the simplicity of these fun boho designs. What do you like to use to create volume texture to your hair. I like Shu Texture wave after curling with a wand and Aquage Beyond body. What setting spray do you use?

I loved this idea and made it last night! Except mine ended up being kind of hard and I find it hard to rub on. It seems to be more like beezwax, should I add more oil? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Rebecca -Mar 09, 2015, 11:47PM
What a wonderful idea. I am going to make some so I can keep it next to my bed. It will be easy to use before bedtime to help with sleeping.

I like diy facial mask and now using facial mask with oatmeal, egg and apple. The recipe is very easy and effective. Ingredients: Apple, Egg Yolk, Oatmeal. Blend these 3 ingredients well. Spread the mixture all over your face. Let the mixture stay for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse it off with pure water. That's all. You can try this recipe.

Zadig! I use an ayurvedic skin cleanser that I mix with other ayurvedic herbs to form a paste. It's great for exfoliating and cooling the skin. I actually talked about it in this post if you want to know more: http://blog.freepeople.com/2013/11/ayurveda-journal-week-4-skincare-mindcare-routine/ :) xox

I want to get mine cut into a pixie cut, but my mom won't let me because my hair is apparently super pretty and if I would just let it be down it'd look nicer. I can't stand having my hair down, in my face, or touching my neck and I always have my hair up in a ponytail or bun(bun is currently my favorite, but it definitely has quite a bit of faults). I can't wait to be able to get all cut off.
Callie -Dec 08, 2014, 8:11PM
Since I was a child I have always had long hair. I danced ballet professionally for a few years, and with years of training and always having my hair in a bun, I didn't have much choice. After I stopped dancing I continued to let my hair grow and stay long, but I felt the same urge as you did. Last April I decided to move across the country to meet/move in with my now fiance and it was such a big change that I decided to chop my hair the day before I left. It was really difficult to deal with at first but I've grown into it and I'm no longer afraid of the dreaded short hair. I love it!

@ Madita- get clip-in Remi hair extensions. Take them to a stylist and have them highlighted to match your hair. The stylist, or youtube, can show you how to "stack" these extensions so it looks like you have totally natural, long hair!!

Okay so I am doing the milk and honey hair mask. I used 2% milk I think and a lot of honey! I poured some milk into a bowl and then heated some honey and mixed it in with the milk. I wet my hair a little so that it was damp and them mainly rubbed the milk into my scalp parts and on the ends. Since the hair folacles are what determine if your hair is straight or curly, I figured it would only be logical to rub the milk into my scalp to soak into where the hair starts. I left it in for about an hour then took a shower. Now I am letting my hair dry while brushing it every 5 minutes. I notice a somewhat of a difference but I can't tell yet cause it's still wet. Also rinse your hair out with cold water and not hot water because cold water helps with the straightening and creates shine and hit water encourages frizz. I'll let yall know the results tomorrow:)
Kayla Willis -Dec 23, 2015, 10:47PM
Alexa- this board is not for you. How nice it is to be born with the perfectly straight hair that everybody wants and the people on this board don't have. Thanks for telling us to embrace it. We clearly haven't tried that. You're comment is invalidating and I don't appreciate it. Why don't we trade hair and then you can embrace it.
