Post image for Pastel Nails To Brighten Winter Wardrobes

The holidays are over and I’m itching for spring to come. The winter is starting to get to me and all I see myself doing is lusting after bright tones, happy patterns, and dreaming of summer vacations. The early dark evenings are getting to me and I’m starting to get bored of wearing my winter coat. So, to beat these winter blues I decided to start wearing happier colors on my nails adding some life to my monochromatic winter wardrobe. Read more »

This excellent website truly has all the info I needed about this subject and didn't know who to ask.

I used coconut oil at first and it didn't pick up the color at all. This was disappointing because I hoped it would blend with my coffee infused coconut oil for a darker shade. I'm leaving the glycerine mix on my stove.for a while longer to achieve a deeper shade of red. I have Olive skin and would prefer a shade a touch darker than the one shown. I'm fighting the temptation to add some coffee grounds! I do wish I had some roller ball vials for this on the go!

The thought of exercising outside in winter is not exactly appealing to me… I am not a fan of the cold. However, it is more appealing to me than the idea of going to a gym. In an attempt to motivate myself, I’ve made a list of 5 ways I want to get outside and exercise this winter.   Read more »

Skating and/or playing hockey are great ways to warm up and exercise in the winter! Also cross-country skiing-no resort or mountain needed, if you live somewhere with lots of snow everywhere.... I can only dream of being able to run outside in the winter... :(
deanna -Jan 02, 2013, 6:57PM
I really needed this post. I love the idea of running but not do I hate getting up and freezing. You are right and it does warm up quickly. I am going to have to keep reminding myself of that.

Post image for How To Beat A Winter Cold

During the winter months I always without a doubt get a winter cold, but this year I’m determined not to let it get the better of me. I’ve taken note of simple cold-fighting tricks that will help me prevent the symptoms from arising. I know it’s a horrible feeling when you start to feel all congested, your throat becomes all scratchy and then the sneezes start and before you know it you’re laying in bed with a heavy head not being able to enjoy the holiday. hey! im very careful with the products i use everyday so i looked up benetint after using the first bottle. dont know if it's true but there are a few articles that say that benetint contains high level of lead. here is the article! http://safecosmetics.org/article.php?id=831
fp brigette -Dec 19, 2012, 1:38PM
Thanks for reading, Kim!! Nars Multiples has a creamy consistency whereas Benetint is a liquid stain, so I think it depends on your preference!
