Post image for How To Bring Holistic Beauty Into Your Life

I’ve always been intrigued by the holistic way of living and I try and practice it as much as I can. I always get tied up with the thoughts of “are my work outs enough,” “Do I need to run more,” “do I need to be working out every day in order to be healthy,” then I came across the holistic approach. I was so happy to see this article on here. Jemma, you really summed up the philosophy about following a path of feeling good rather than dragging yourself through "should's". I have a few suggestions for Cierra about resources. First there is my own site: http://greenbeautyteam.com Other favorites include: http://thehealthybeautyproject.com and http://www.mindbodygreen.com/ Hope that helps!

I love this post! I am interested in learning more about the holistic way of living. Anyone have recommendations of good books/blogs? Thanks :)

Post image for DIY Dry Shampoo For Dark Or Light Hair

Update: This post originally ran on September 6th 2012 but we can’t get enough of this awesome homemade remedy so we wanted to share it again!

I don’t know about you but when I discovered dry shampoo it was like a whole new world… just a quick spray and your hair looks clean and fresh. It’s a live saver if you’re short on time or traveling, but as we all know it can be pretty pricey! Read more »

Nose Job kansas city -Sep 27, 2014, 11:49PM
,) energies are capable of treating the surface of the skin and the deep dermis, but do not treat the middle layer of the dermis and thus cannot achieve complete non-surgical rejuvenation or a non-surgical face-lift. Better and quicker results are more achievable even with difficult noses (due to severe trauma or in asymmetrical faces). By changing the size & shape of the nose, this cosmetic nose can positively influence the balance of facial features.

Oh joy! Thrilled about this, as I've loved the pricey dry shampoos I've tried, but the cheap ones (sadly, what my budget runs to these days) tends to be itchy on my scalp. I really need a dry shampoo option, as I've got a pain condition that makes daily hair washing painful... so I try to stick to every few days. Don't like the yucky dirty scalp feeling, though, so hoping this is the solution! Question... wondering if you have any DIY suggestions for a rinse free body bath? Something like the 'No Rinse' product? That would truly be a lifesaver. ;)

The "Dark Side of the Moon" tutorial reminded me so much of a "Witchy Woman" black and white editorial I saw in Vogue or something several years ago. It was wonderful, I wish I could find it again. Thanks for making the video.

I LOVE this model! Any chance of a tutorial on the dark side of the moon hair?

Why are people looking into the meaning of these jewels so deeply? Has no one ever seen pretty jewels wore simply for a fun purpose? Theyre not trying to take something "sacred" and make it playful. Its body art---like temporary tattoos. Its not that serious

Post image for 4 Ways To Beat Hard Water Hair

UPDATE: This post originally ran August 1, 2012, but we wanted to share these helpful tips with you again! As the weather gets colder and drier, you may notice your hair drying out along with it, so make sure you follow these tips if you’re a victim of hard water hair!

When I first moved to Philadelphia, I anticipated a lot of things. I was ready to start a completely new life; to start my first “real” job; to move into an apartment on my own; to make an entirely new group of friends. But there was one thing for which I wasn’t prepared:  hard water. Read more »

To soften hard water, we need reverse osmosis system or a water softener. I have bought a RO system to remove hard minerals in the water. The link below may help: http://wisemommy.net/best-reverse-osmosis-system-reviews/

Just wanted to chime in that I found a new source of lovely henna which also sells moisturizing shampoo bars, oils and other natural hair care products. I am a fan of henna for 20 years which is also a bit drying on hair but also, for me, wonderful. I recently moved to a hard water remote area and glad to find this new site. The product prices are reasonable and shipping fast. They also have inexpensive sample sizes to try. I am trying out. The site explains products for different needs like dry hair. I'm trying the Moroccan Clay shampoo bar, and rich Cocoveda Shampoo bar. both are lovely and natural smelling. Also a facial moisturizer that is spectacular called ucuuba body butter. It's rich but not greasy and smells of mandarin and vanilla. site is www.hennasooq.com I was a Lush fan for years and still like some things but find they products too perfumy and was devastated to learn they have SFLs in their shampoos :( felt cheated. Glad for this new online shop with I think higher quality then Lush for much less money. Thanks for the tips here about vinegar rinse and baking soda to clarify and coconut/argan oil to moisturize. Going to add those to my regime.

Post image for What’s On My Beauty Shelf?

mason jars (i purchased a bunch at Walmart.. SHHh.. hate shopping there!) make perfect spot to hold q-tips, odds and ends, hair ties & bracelets! I also love mixing them in with old antique bottles and perfume bottles with a single little flower! OoOO and finding them washed up ashore along the bay is always a treasure. thanks for the cool post FP

I swear by Lush tea tree water toner. I live in Florida and have oily skin, and this stuff saves my life. Also, as goofy as it may sound, I only recently discovered the magical powers of tinted moisturizer. The only makeup I use is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, nars the multiple on my eyes and cheeks, and mascara. I thank the lovely girls on downton abbey for inspiring my makeup-lite look!
