Post image for My Fall Home Décor Inspiration

I go through phases every once in a while when I get really sick of my apartment, and that’s when I know it’s time for some redecorating. It tends to happen around the turn of the season, which makes sense. As the weather and our wardrobes are changing, spring’s pastel palette and neon summer hues are replaced by rustic, muted shades and cozy textures. For my home, though, I want to bring some green indoors so that I can still enjoy it once the leaves fall from the trees. Here’s some of my current home décor inspiration!

Nice..!! I like the way you have transformed your home into something green and lively.Makes you feel like you are out with the nature.I would like to put in some plants but my place is so cramped up with stuff that i barely find any space to keep them.Although I have a cactus and I absolutely find them adorable.Cute tiny spiked plants.I would also like to plant something for my hanging pots.Could you suggest something and I heard they are hard to maintain too.

Post image for How To Create A Bohemian Atmosphere In Your Home

Do you ever dream of being a nomad? I think it’s something that crosses all of our minds at one point or another. Traveling from place to place with no destination in sight; living in a beat up caravan that’s covered in beautiful tapestries inside and overflowing with little trinkets you’ve collected along the way. It just seems so free. Read more »

I'm pretty sure that the enormous plants with the big white flowers in the final picture are Giant hogweed which is really dangerous to humans. The sap is full of toxic chemicals which causes skin to become sensitive to light. I guess whoever took that photo wasn't really connected with nature... Just wanted to warn people not to go around picking that stuff. http://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/giant-hogweed-8-facts-you-must-know-about-the-toxic-plant/

I somewhat disagree about the first point. Picking a color scheme can make a room really come together. My bedroom is very bohemian and eclectic. It follows everything above except it is only white and silver. Every single thing in my room is a white or silver pattern. It looks very put together, but still has that bohemian look.

Post image for Décor Crush: Vintage Glass Containers & How To Use Them

Top image source.

Of all the décor crushes I have, vintage glass might just be number one. Every time I enter a thrift store (AKA every few days), the first thing I do is make a beeline to the glass section. I scoop up every single mason jar, milk jug, and carafe as fast as I can, as if someone else is going to steal them all if I don’t hurry. Why? Read more »

I also share a great deal of passion for collecting vintage glass bottles. But to add more color I just fil them up within different spices and foods adds a slight tint and they just look really amazing.

Post image for How To Create A Romantic Atmosphere In Your Home

One of my favorite places to be is inside a romantic-feeling home. You feel light, free, and pretty – and most importantly, happy. It’s hard to believe that décor can have the ability to do that, but it totally does. Read more »

Post image for How To Create A Yoga Space In Your Home

UPDATE: This post originally ran on July 7, 2012, but as we’re starting to feel little hints of cooler fall weather, we’re getting the urge to cozy up inside our homes — and what better a thing to do inside the comfort of your own home than practice yoga?!

Doing yoga at home rules. Of course it’s awesome to practice in a studio with a class to motivate you and a skilled instructor to make sure you’re reaching your potential, but there’s something so relaxing about being able to just unwind and set yourself free in a space you can call your own. ng that (book, seminar, conference etc)." But relating to closer inspection it's more likely them to did not really put anything in it.They require to think away from the square - they want to take a thought (preferably beyond one) and contemplate how they were able to implement the concept or concepts expressed by means of others as well as 'tweak' the crooks to fit their own business.Action is what is important; inaction ends up in mediocrity -- and you don't want any mediocre online business! Advertising is certainly action - it needs your action involving monitoring so you get the best through your efforts. Another thing it is advisable to learn to accomplish - is to utilize words that 'sizzle' and also use those words to develop the appropriate atmosphere where a sale will be made.Too often you want to rely in our product to build the deal - whereas the power of the expression is a lot more powerful instrument (both oral and written).Don't panic to benefit from extravagant key phrases - HUGE is better than Big; AWESOME reads much better than Wonderful; LEAP OUT allows more signifying than Take note of; - brainstorm by means of others to find the right word which can be both STRONG (energetic, lively, forceful) as well as EXCITING (thrilling; exhilarating) and watch your gross sales increase! @molly, Why would you even comment if you have nothing to contribute except knocking the intent of the article? It costs nothing to say something nice; it costs even less to STFU altogether. @stef, I have an idea - how about you take your nick-picking b__tch ass attitude elsewhere? You really felt your cocky grammer lesson was necessary in response to this wonderful post with a lesson in grammer? You must be a f__king TREAT to spend time with. Here's a tip for you: when you reach perfection in every thing you do, please send us the link to your blog.

We’re closing in on the first week of September and that means that it’s time to start embracing fall full-force! Post image for How To Hand Paint Antique Silverware

I love having an eclectic kitchen. When I buy plates, bowls, glasses, and silverware, I usually only buy one of each piece (which is easy enough if you’re getting it all from a thrift store!) – I love being able to mix everything up, with no two pieces the same. Read more »

I have some antique silverware ive been wanted to do this with. I am going to paint then frame it as gifts for my mom and sisters (silver wear was my grandmother and great grandmothers) but I'm nervous the silver will tarnish over time. Anyone know if the protective spray will prevent tarnishing?? Thanks!!!

It's not quite decorating but I can see what you were going for. Some of the shots are more appropriate for set design than decoration, creating a realistic lived-in environment. At a push you could make some doilies with lingerie but I don't think you could get much more out of them.

I always look forward to the change in seasons when new displays go up in our stores. Every time, they take my breath away and provide so much inspiration for unique home décor. Post image for Simple Decorating For Your End-Of-Summer Party: String Lights

Update: This post originally ran on May 26, 2012, but with the season winding down, we wanted to share some inspiration for decorating your end-of-summer parties with one easy element: string lights.

It is absolutely amazing what a string of lights can do. Immediately a so-so space can be transformed into a dreamy, whimsical wonderland. Read more »

Cynthia -May 03, 2015, 7:41AM
I too love the look of string lights and have recently discovered rope lights which seem to be more durable but not as "light" as the string lights prove to be (by light I refer to their weight) I am also going to try the tape lights that people are putting under their kitchen cabinets now. I wonder how many uses besides the kitchen I can find for easy installed tape lights? :)
Hiren Modi -Jun 08, 2012, 7:20AM
@fp brigette I'm 100% agree with it. String lights are best solution for outdoor decorating...
