Post image for Making Your Desk Space Feel Like Home

It’s kind of crazy when I think about how much time I spend here in the office. Nine to ten hours a day, five days a week… that’s definitely more time than I spend (awake) in my own home. In a way, the office is my other home, so why not make it feel like home? Read more »

A raw wooden shelf is one of my favorite décor elements to have in a home. I love the natural, lived-in feeling it brings about, and that you can create a little vignette on top with whatever little trinkets you choose. Read more »

This is like one I just did, minus the crate! I love collecting old bottles and jars with pretty labels like this st. Dalfour jam jar (great for spices as they're tall and slim so make the most of the space in my spice cupboard!) and this fancy olive oil bottle: http://patterns4life.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/diy-home-floral-display.html

The one's I've seen at flea markets have been in the $20-$35 range, but it totally varies. There are a bunch on Etsy that you can check out: www.etsy.com/search?q=wood+crate

Layering Curtains is an art that not many people subscribe to these days. There was a time that layering curtains was the standard to Window Treatments, but it seems as though we've moved away from that. All that said layering curtains is easy and affordable, neutral colors and earth tones are best for most applications but if you desire bold colors their are many options available at affordable prices. One of the best places to purchase your Curtains on-line is at America's online curtain superstore, Swags Galore. Swags Galore has 1000's of curtains and valances at big discounts to help with your decorating needs, go to http://www.swagsgalore.com/ for the best deals on Window Treatments.

Post image for Creating A Relaxation Space In Your Home

I’ve always dreamed of having a room in my home where the floor is covered in a sea of pillows and blankets, and nothing else. While a room like that is out of the question in my current one-room apartment, I still think it’s important to create a space that’s dedicated to relaxation. This kind of environment is calming for the soul, and it also promotes creativity. Read more »

I use to have a space with pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals on the floor. I loved to read there. However, I found out soon after that this attracts spiders lie crazy, so needless to say I don't have that space anymore.

Post image for The Little Details Inside My Home, From Our Fashion Writer

I live in a small row home in Fishtown, Philadelphia. It’s old and I like that. A trickle of sunshine seeps through on a sunny day… that’s when my home feels the most magical — and at night when then sun is going down and I get to light my favorite candles. Inside my home is quite simple. I moved here from the UK with one suitcase of clothes, so I’ve been gradually collecting things over the years that mean a lot to me and tell a story. Read more »
