I adore the look of this but I am SO BAD at keeping plants alive - especially in my office space where I'd love some. Warm Regards, Alexandra www.littlewildheart.com

I found this post in the “19 DIY Air Fresheners” roundup post on Brit+Co, and I shared the link on my blog I'm dealing with some nasty laundry (my son just returned from a month-long wilderness backpacking trip!) so I already one of these (basil and clementine!) A photo of my creation is in my post. Thanks - and have a fragrant day! ;)

Post image for Summer Meets Fall With Pressed Flower Candles

The soft murmur of a new season is on the horizon. Suddenly, we’re all sick of wearing sandals and cut offs, and sure, we still love the beach, but does it have to be so hot every day? The collective yearning for apples and cider, cold air, and layers. Read more »

i was very anxious to try making this candle but ran into a problem. I brushed wax on the sides of my jar and secured my pressed flowers . They stayed pretty well. However, after I filled the jar with melted wax and let it set, all of my flowers disappeared. They are not visible through the jar at all. Can anyone help me? What did I do wrong? I'm trying to make this for a house warming gift for Saturday

It's such a weird moment when you follow a link on pinterest and see that the model in the post is someone you went to high school with. You do a double take. The world is crazy small!

WOW, I love this idea. I had placed a pair of clip on earrings on my flip-flops and then painted the bands with the 'sparkle' nail polish available and they looked so much better!! Pat

I've been meaning to make some leather boot chains with conchos, but I keep putting off my visit to the cowboy shop for supplies. This might give me a push in the right direction. http://www.etsy.com/shop/HypnoticaVintage

I've done some patching using embroidered motifs cut from vintage doilies and runners onto denim and cutoffs. It's also a great way to cover stains in shirts. I cut out lace motifs from a table cloth and sewed them all over a tee starting with the coffee stain I was covering up.

Liz - I would recommend either hand washing with a very mild detergent or taking them to a dry cleaner (the dry cleaner is most likely your best bet)

I love cutting images out of magazines, and saving Polaroids but I never knew what to do with them. Recently actually I made a zine about feminism, role models, things like that. It was really random, but I had a small accordion book kit I got from Paper Source, so I put it to use. xostylestalker.com
