Post image for 3 Adorably Simple DIY Bookmarks

Bookmarks always seem like a classic gift. I’ve given more than my fair share when I was growing up – and received equally as many. But I was never really much of a reader, so I never really got that much use out of them. As I’m getting older, though, I’m certainly reading more than I used to… and recognizing just how necessary these simple little objects really are!

Post image for Natural Dyeing With Coffee And Tea

Told you guys I’ve been on a coffee kick lately… I may not drink it, but of course I love using it to make body scrub, and who doesn’t enjoy spending some quiet time at a quaint cafe like this or this? Today I’ve got another use for coffee — and tea, too! Natural dyeing. We’ve done flowers and black beans, and now we’re on to coffee and tea. It’s easy, effective, fun… and it smells delicious. This DIY is just the greatest✨✨ I started working on it today and even cut out and sewed on little flowers and added some ruffles onto one of the hand warmers! This is really such a great idea and I know that when I finish them, they will keep me warmer, and stylish too!

I love it! When I was younger, I'd always try to find the most unique wrapping paper possible for wrapping gifts for my girlfriends, and then I'd hand-make custom cards ... but for some reason, I never thought to actually making the gift wrapping myself as well. I'm going to take this idea over the top come next occasion : )

Well, i have tried myself doing detergents this way. It is working pretty good but takes too much time, so i prefer buy some instead

Just something to add from someone from the other side of the world, it's that Borax is illegal to rinse down the drain in Scandinavia (Sweden). So if you wanted to try this, like I did before i read about the ingredients on the internet, try to change borax to something else instead, or just buy normal laundry detergent in the shop. Sad but true. Care about your environtment!

Post image for Handmade Flower Holiday Cards

Is there anything more beautiful than that which occurs in nature? I truly think not. I’m always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate nature into my life, whether decorating my home, adorning my body, and everything in between. I recently came across a way to make prints from fresh flower petals (similar to these hammered leaf prints), and I love the idea of incorporating them into a homemade holiday card this season, as well as creating a card by attaching fresh flowers themselves!
