Post image for DIY Lace Doily Bowl

A little while back I was searching for doilies – not the paper kind, nice crochet and lace doilies – for a DIY project.  Read more »

A more environmentally-friendly version of this project is to simply exchange the fabric stiffener with sugar water! Works just as well and if you want to re-use the doilies its's just washing the bowl with water! (:
fp julia -Mar 28, 2013, 12:17PM
Hey guys! I just pulled it right off the bowl! If the doily seems like its losing its shape as you pull it off, don't worry you can mold it back into shape. And yes the fabric stiffener came right off the bowl :)

DIY: Twig Cage Mobile

Post image for DIY: Twig Cage Mobile

UPDATE: This previously ran on August the 30th but we thought we’d bring it back for a little DIY you can do this Sunday. Go out for a stroll and collect some small twigs and get DIY bus.

Do you ever want to fill the air with something delicate, just have something drifting back and forth freely in a little space in your home, desk space, or backyard? I find it relaxing watching something move gently in the air; it’s peaceful and helps create a peaceful mind.

Post image for DIY: Update Your Tired Toms With Color Blocking

Toms are the type of shoe that are so easy to throw on and go that they tend to get pretty worn out.  Mine just reached the point where they had a hole in the toe, so I decided it was time to give them a little makeover – simultaneously fixing the hole and giving them a whole new look.  Read more »

Post image for Moss Graffiti By Anna Garforth: Admire It & Make It

Something about moss has always been intriguing to me. I love the way it looks; the way it feels; how easy it is to pull apart and put back together. Read more »

I love it! Do you think I could put this on some sort of board and mount it on the wall in my entryway? I don't have any shady outdoor wall space.

Post image for American Flag Shorts DIY

UPDATE: This post originally ran on June 13th 2012, but we were feeling patriotic with today being Labor Day and wanted to share it again!

American flag shorts are always a big fashion trend this time of year, as the 4th of July approaches – but it seems the Americana trend is even bigger than ever right now with the stars and stripes making their way into shirts, shoes, bags and more (have you seen our Born to Run June Lookbook?). I knew it was time for an American flag shorts DIY! Read more »

I think this is among the most important information for me. And i am glad reading your article. But wanna remark on some general things, The website style is perfect, the articles is really nice : D. Good job, cheers
Jess -Sep 08, 2012, 9:09PM
Etsy.com is the place to go online if you're looking to create a diy terrarium. You can buy modern hanging glass versions or go old school with vintage brass/glass ones. And you can buy plants, moss and rocks for your terrarium there as well. Etsy is also a great place to find neat little miniature knick-knacks to liven up a terrarium. You can populate your new terrarium with tiny animals, toadstools, gnomes and tiny houses found in their miniature ceramics listings (http://www.etsy.com/category/ceramics_and_pottery/miniature).
