Post image for DIY Polka Dot Friendship Bracelet

Friendship bracelets have always given me a sentimental feeling — they can bring back thoughts that might be easily lost. Just by looking at them I feel a lot of warmth close to my heart. These bracelets are often given to me by close friends, by my sibling whenever she travels, or picked up by myself when I go to places that I don’t want to forget. In this post I’ll show you how to make a simple summer friendship bracelet for yourself or your friends. Read more »

Post image for Decor DIY: Painted Glass Bottles

I’ve been accumulating a lot of glass bottles lately…I always tend to pick them up at flea markets or if I come across one in a store. I love the way plain glass bottles look, but I decided I wanted to give my apartment a pop of color by coating the inside of some of the bottles with paint and creating a little display. This is such an easy project and the results are beautiful! Read more »

Can you put water and flowers in them after they are painted? Will it wash off? Will it kill the flowers?
Lis -Jan 28, 2014, 10:06PM
SO pretty. I tried this in a modern/abstract version and now am obsessed. They're just so easy (and cheap!) You can check out my painted jars here: http://editglobal.com/glamorous-glass-jar-upcycle/

Baby girl, not to seem rude, but those look like screws. I wouldn't say anything but hammering screws into drywall can split your walls! Be careful if you're hanging lots of stuff!

Thanks for this DIY! The transfer I did turned out so well I gave it as a wedding gift to my sister. The look was so unique I wanted one for myself and then I found www.InstaThis.com they print photos directly on wood for you. It turned out great without the hassle of trying to remove all the paper residue left over from the transfer.

Respectfully, this is an ugly example of a beautiful tradition. It doesn't take much effort to come up with a nice exterior. You can start with a bit more equal size petals, scallops, fringe-like cuts into the paper. It doesn't need to be perfect, simply a bit more thought into a cool project that brings smiles to those celebrating.

For JeanFontaine, the smallest things can spark an idea, such as the colors of a rusted copper penny. She keeps an eye on what's hot in the eyes of fashionindustry bibles such as Vogue but doesn't watch them too closely because she wants to set trends rather than follow them. JeanFontaine admires the work of designers such as Betsey Johnson, Alexander McQueen, and JeanPaul Gaultier but also draws her inspiration from closer to home.
