This dress made of fabric with pretty gloves printed on it reminds me of Doub’s beautiful glove project that I posted a while back. The straps of the dress are actually long gloves! It was designed by Tata Naka, (<--warning, loud site with no volume control) and is sold over at this boutique.
What do you guys think of the dress? I like it a lot, but I think it would be even cuter if all the gloves on the fabric were real too! Like fringe – - although, maybe that would make it too heavy and bulky?

Don't stop posting such stories. I like to read articles like this. Just add some pics :)
All right. I couldn’t resist, I just had to post a link to the site that BleachBlack found the other day – Body Webs, where you’ll find all the clothing shown above, and much more. There actually are a few things on the site that I would buy, they look cool! There are also some outrageous items though. At the very least, the site is good for some DIY inspiration.
Anyhow, this torn and cut look has been coming into style a lot lately – what do you guys think? Do you like the sliced up look?

ick.. I pass as well..

Except for the top in the lower right-hand corner - which I think would look cool if crocheted or knitted somehow- I'd have to pass on this look....

What do you guys think of these various embellished tights? I saw the pictures on Refinery29, in an article about what they consider the latest and greatest accessory trends. I am in love! I feel inspired to glue bits of anything I can find onto my tights! But what about you guys? Do you hope this trend will catch on, or is it too much?
Fiona-Apr 09, 2009, 11:48AM
LOVE them! I will totally try to DIY a pair for myself. Thanks for the link, hannahmichelle!
samantha-Apr 07, 2009, 2:33PM
they look really neat, but they also look like they might be itchy. i agree with ashley...they could look all wrong if you dont pair them right with your outfit. embroidery on thick tights would look really cute :)
This video is just beautiful; it features stunning photos of Congolese women by photographer Finbarr O’Reilly. There are also a few words about their distinctive hairstyles. It’s interesting to see a little something about the women of Congo, since usually one only hears of the violence there.
The pictures above are from Refinery 29, which pointed out recently that a lot of menswear has been leaning toward the floral and pastel lately. I knew they were right as soon as I read it, since it brought to mind a different picture that I saw on Style Salvage about a month ago and saved…
Honestly, I like the trend! I’ve always liked men in any pastel color, and though I’m not sure about the shoes, I’ve liked all the floral styles I’ve seen on men as well.
But what I want to know is what you guys think! Do you like the pastel/floral menswear trend? Is the floral thing too much for you or the men you know? Do you love it?

I think it works fine as a button up under a jacket. Otherwise it is a bit much. No on the shoes and that hat.

Trend????.... what are you talking about!?!? Guys have been wearing floral prints for years. Their isn't one guy I know that dosn't own a hawain shirt.
What do you guys think of these studded ballet slippers from Bona Drag? I saw them on Ma Frangine and I’ve been thinking about them ever since! I love the mix of boy and girl style. How about you?
stacy-Sep 24, 2009, 11:52AM
These ballet slippers are really cute with the studs. I would wear them!
Check out this picture from Chinese Fashion Week that I saw over on Jezebel. Interesting huh? I like all the details, but I’m not sure about any of the pieces as a whole. What do you guys think? There’s a bigger version of the picture here.

why does this ring a hint to Chanel's previous collections?
is it just me?
I seriously need a set of these crayon rings by Timothy Liles! How fun are these, for kids and adults alike?! If I wore them anywhere I’d probably draw on everything I walked by though… You can get yourself a set at The Future Perfect.

I would like to make these with my elementary students, any ideas how?
Niccole-Mar 27, 2009, 3:52AM
SO Fun! Perfect for coloring shoes at work. Wonder if they come in one standard ring size?
I am in love with these exquisite dainty little underthings by Stumpet & Pink. They’re too delicate for me though, I would definitely inadvertently rip seams and tear them up if I wore any! They are so so pretty to look at though. What do you guys think?

Very pretty. Love the ruffled black underwear!
Tara-Mar 27, 2009, 4:36PM
I LOVE these. They are so delicate and beautiful...I do agree they don't look too durable but they are also not for everyday wear...still pretty little things...
