fashion lollies

Massimo Gammacurta created these still life shots, which feature the logos of some famous fashion labels (I bet you know which ones!) as lollipops! Interesting, but mainly makes me want to go grab a dum-dum…

burnt up tee

BleachBlack took this old tee and burned some holes it – and I love how it looks! She explains best what she did, so here is a quote: For starters, I think vintage tee’s with some sort of faded graphic work best… after all the point is for it to look lived in, right?! I would also make sure the tee is 100% cotton for best results. I used cigarettes, although I’m sure you could use some incense… just as long as it produces an ash. When the ash is sitting on the fabric it should burn from the center out and create this lovely burn color + hole.
Awesome! I can’t wait to try it the moment I get home from work today…

You you could change the webpage title burnt up tee | Free People Clothing Boutique Blog to something more suited for your webpage you write. I liked the the writing nevertheless.

Please do it right now. I love it to read something about this theme.

I’m finding these knit creations by Sandra Backlund really impressive. They are so visually interesting, complex and unique! I especially love the back of the fourth one, but they are all really gorgeous! Do you guys like them too? Have you ever seen anything like them?
Via Ma Frangine.
P.S. Also check out these cool knits from Rödel Latin America, again via Ma Frangine…

Cool! Crochet rocks! :) I actually meant 'knitwear' in the very basic sense that the material is a knit material, rather than a woven material - not that it was knit rather than crochet. I'm sorry for the confusion! :):) xo p
Smellyann -Mar 17, 2009, 4:58PM
Actually, a lot of those are crochet, not knit. :)

I was going to say this is the first pair of Nike sneakers I’ve wanted in many years, but it occurred to me that this is the first pair of any sneakers that I’ve wanted in many years! I’ve had the same pair of Converse for a long time!
At any rate, I spotted these on StyleBubble and did a double-take! I love those prints! Word is that they are very hard to come by however.
So what do you guys think? Awesome, or not your style?

Thanks for your suggestion. Really helps me a lot. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing with us. I really enjoy it a lot.

Holly Hobby meets converse, collides with the 70's. Um... not sure. With faded jeans and a pain top I guess it would work. Though not a very flexible pattern. I would like to see more pattern options!

Above are some of my favorite looks from Alexander McQueen’s show in Paris on Tuesday. I hate the make-up, personally, but I would sure love to have pretty much any dress from the show! Also, those silver sequined boots in the middle picture are driving me crazy! I might have to go to the craft store and get glitter or sequins and make myself some knock-offs! You can see pictures of all the outfits from the show here. What do you guys think of the show? Did you like any of the collection?
See Amy Odell of New York Magazine’s take on the show here. The pictures above are also via New York Magazine.

Hi, I go on your site daily and love it!!. I love to read anything about handbags or related topics. I have a quick question. I am torn between two Louis Vuitton bags. I am interested in the Neverfull MM and the Speedy 35. I am going with the Damier version. I am looking long term and would be interested in everyone's opinion. I am more traditional than not and I am a stay at home mom. I did purchase a Chanel Bag over Christmas. I got the cranberry color. It really is beautiful. Also, I am 40 years old. I want it to be age appropriate. Thanks so much for any suggestions.

The dresses are gorgeous! but yes.. i'd have to agree that I hate the make-up..

fun fun fashion

How about these eccentric designs by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac? I am so entertained by them! I think out of the six I would most like to wear the dollar-bill dress – though the Andy Warhol dress is pretty awesome as well. What do you guys think? These are some seriously over-the-top designs, but they sure are memorable!

This striking young 8 year old is Arlo Weiner, the son of Matt Weiner, producer of The Sopranos and Mad Men. He is so cool! Arlo has been creating his own looks since the age of 3, when he asked his parents to get him a top hat. GQ has an awesome little article about him that I bet you’ll like, and they have a slideshow featuring some of Arlo’s favorite outfits, which is where I got the pictures above. Definitely worth checking out!
