While I was in LA, I had the opportunity to visit one of our designers that used to design for FP Beach and now purely creates a collection from LA, right out of her Echo Park home. It goes without saying that her style oozes the laid back, cool LA vibe, but it has a twist… leaving you curious for more. There’s always a story behind each piece of clothing she owns, you just know there’s something unique about what she is wearing. Read more »
For this week’s Office Style we had a lovely mix of spring Bohemia mixed with cool androgynous pieces like an over-sized mens coat, a chunky vintage grandpa cardigan, and boots that look like well-traveled. We loved the mix of lace, velvet, prints, and layered jewelry with menswear pieces.

This weeks shopable street style comes from LA. A retro-cool look that’s quirky and fun, we love so much about Elena’s look. We love that she’s has teamed a vintage dress with a more structured blazer, and accessories that look like they have just popped out of the 50′s. White knee-high socks worn with brogues, a royal navy clutch, and small bow hair clip. Every little detail of this look is considered down to the delicate necklace that hangs around her neck. Her style is refreshing a retro way. Here, we show you how to get the look!

My style always varies I jump from being girlie, to a more tomboy look all the time depending on the mood I’m in. I think your style says a lot about your personality, your lifestyle and the way you think. You can change the way you dress accordingly to fit your mood but I always find no matter what look you choose, you always have that one style trait that you can never get rid of. I find I always have a slightly bohemian look even if I choose to go all out relaxed and, I think that’s because of the personality I have. Read more »

This spring, utility and khaki are on our minds… that effortless, casual-cool look. We love the idea of teaming pretty tops with khaki bottoms like Victorian blouses or floral camis, and then adding some attitude boots. It creates a perfect balance of boy/girl and a perfect look to wear on those sunny spring days when all you want to do is be outside riding your bike, sitting in the park, or going on hikes. We are huge layering fans here at Free People, and it’s rare that I go a day without having some sort of layered component in what I’m wearing. A while back we posted about how to create the ultimate layered outfit, and got some requests for more, so today I wanted to create a slightly simpler outfit in terms of layers — but one with mixed prints.
