Post image for 7 Essential Apartment Hunting Tips {For NYC + Beyond}

The search for a new place to live can be intimidating, overwhelming, frustrating, and a whole bunch of other adjectives on that same wavelength. It’s an important task; this is going to be your new home! Read more »

In addition to scoping out the neighborhood during the day, I'd recommend making the time to check it out at night as well. Neighborhoods can change drastically once the sun goes down. Maybe you're looking for a vibrant nightlife and the area shuts down at 9PM. Or maybe you find yourself in the exact opposite situation. I usually like to grab dinner in a potential area, and get there early enough to people watch the evening commuters, and see how the area is in the moonlight.

These are great tips! I usually always know when I'm doing when it come to finding a new resident, but now I'm getting ready to move abroad. It's a bit scary! How do you negotiate when you don't speak the language? I am more than likely going to have to give up a few necessities abroad, otherwise I wont be able to afford all the travel I'm planning. But what necessities do you give up? This move will be so much different from the rest.

I just found out about Trilogy Sanctuary a few weeks ago and I am so excited to try an aerial yoga class and follow it up with a vibrant vegan lunch!! I lived in La Jolla 2 years ago and at the time I struggled to find an organic vegan restaurant in the area so this makes me miss living there even more. Thank you for featuring such an amazing and nourishing establishment. :)

Man, I am soon entrenched in winter right now! Fleece, coordinating the colors and patterns of multiple scarves, never walking anywhere without the perfect hot drink for the mood and moment. Sleeping under a mountain of blankets. I love it! Let's not move on to spring quite yet; I can't stand the mud and the bugs.

Comfort, TX is a must! Lots of new wineries appearing, modern goods, a great outdoor pizza place, and the most expensive coffee in the world.

Wow, this place looks incredible. As a college senior studying in liberal arts, usually thinking about the future, my passions, and the unlimited options in the 'real world', I love reading/hearing about unique shops like this and the magic that can happen when creative people and different ideas come together. Thank you for featuring so much creativity and inspiration on FP!! xo
