in the spirit of the holidays and giving, we’re doing ANOTHER giveaway!
a lot of you have been asking about the beautiful display dresses in our new holiday displays. well guess what? starting this week, you can enter by clicking right here and filling out the simple form for your chance to win one!
each week on friday, we will pick a winner. we have four dresses to give away and one mini display, which consists of two of the felt snowflake panels and two sheer glittery booti print panels – inspired by actual indian booti prints. we’ll pick the winner of the mini display this friday, and then each friday after that we’ll pick a winner who will receive one of the dresses. the final winner will be announced monday december 27th, as we are not in the office friday december 24th.
you only need to enter the giveaway once, and each week a name will be selected at random from the entire list of entries.
PLEASE NOTE: the dresses are NOT meant to be worn. they are for display purposes only.

holiday magic
last weekend i made the trip out to longwood gardens for the first time in years… i can remember going there as a kid and not really appreciating the carefully manicured gardens that my parents would admire for hours. but this year i went to see the “holiday magic” display and even though i’m not the type that gets really into christmas it was hard to not get into the spirit when surrounded by lush greens, the aroma of roses and lilies, fountains, twinkling lights and massive, dazzling christmas trees around every corner.

if you’re in the D.C. area tomorrow afternoon, stop by our store at clarendon commons! singer/songwriter danni rosner will be at the store playing some tunes off both her albums, piano actress and on my way. that’s her in the above right photo, which i posted on the blog a little while back, rocking fp while shooting a video!

fp holiday gift guide: ginger
ginger’s favorite part of the holiday season are the parties! whether they’re family parties with her loved ones, work parties or wild parties in the city she loves getting dressed up in her holiday finest and dancing till her feet hurt. christmas is an excuse for her to wear gold and silver sparkles, bright reds and pops of pink to her heart’s content!
spice up ginger’s christmas by giving her a shiny chainmail bag from our vintage loves collection or some dazzling earrings. our snake armbands will bring out her coy side and she’d flip over our leopard mini taco coin pouch filled with a necklace or ring and some gold nail polish. ginger’s already counting down the days till bikini season so get her started with the sophia top, which she can layer with other items if she can’t wait till summer to wear it. she’d love our body con easy rider dress or flirty little numbers like the one shoulder lace trim tunic. finally, the perfect accessories for ginger are some sheer socks to wear with her little black dress to a holiday party, a feather fedora and aviators!

good morning! we have a new graphic design assistant and she made these adorable holiday downloads for the blog – the smaller one is iphone wallpaper and the larger one is for your computer desktop. but as our graphic designer suggested (and i agree) it would make such cute wrapping paper, don’t you think? just print some out and use it to wrap small gifts!

fp holiday gift guide: meadow
meadow loves to spend the holidays outdoors. every year she and her friends take off for a cabin in the woods where they spend nights huddled round bonfires drinking hot chocolate, telling stories and playing songs on guitars and wooden flutes. they wake up early to watch the sun rise before exchanging gifts on christmas morning.
win meadow over with gifts that appeal to her creative side and connection with nature. the vintage peter max postcards would inspire her artistically, as would a journal to record her thoughts and dreams. she would love our western-inspired jewelry like turquoise necklaces and rings, the native gypsy cuff and meeko feather earring.
