The Dreamcatcher is THE place to stay in San Juan. It is hands down the most gorgeous (and affordable) option. Sylvia, the owner has made this hostel inviting and enjoyable down to the tiniest detail. They offer a hand drawn map to guests that outlines all the don't-miss spots in the area that you would never find as a tourist. Add to that a daily vegetarian breakfast, daily yoga under the stars, or on the beach in the AM to start the day, beach chairs and outdoor showers, what's not to love? Go!

I'd recommend you come to vieques! If freepeople like it off the beaten path -- then aim for la Finca vieques! I'm biased of course...but having hosted free thinkers and fun people for 20 years now!, feel pretty sure you all would love it. #lafincavieques. Xoxox

All of the comments so far have really great suggestions! A couple of other cool spots: Cascada el salto- waterfall in Morovis Charco Azul- waterfall in Vega Baja Charco Prieto- waterfall in Bayamon Charco los Novios- waterfall in Utuado Playa vacia talega- beach in Loiza Poza de las mujeres- beach in manati Los tubos-beach in manati Palomino island *also I second the bioluminescent bay in Vieques. It is an amazing experience and the beaches in Vieques alone are worth the trip out. If you stay the night you can camp there or stay in a hotel

I'm not from Vancouver, but here's my suggestion. Forget all the eating and do something for your brain. Visit UBC's Anthropology Museum. This one of Canada's hidden treasures. A must-see.

Thank you for writing this! As a woman with hair on my toes, hair on my fingers, and hair probably places that I'm not even aware of-this piece made my day! Your beauty (both inner and outer:) made me feel beautiful. I'm about to shake my hair out, and break free of this "prison of ideas!" Thanks again! XOXO

I recently did a little post on this exhibit as well -> https://apnuyen.squarespace.com/blog/2016/1/15/inspiration-frank-stella-at-the-whitney-museum I really enjoyed seeing Stella's work in the flesh as I'd admired his paintings for much longer. And I 100% agree with the sentiment that going to museums and galleries is best experienced on your own. It's kind of my favorite "quiet" place, being alone with art....that sounds so snobby, but it's true, haha... - An
