I always like learning a new protein recipe like this one. Especially since it includes natural ingredients that are a must for me. I am a big fan of adding cinnamon or ginger to my protein shakes since they can taste somewhat bland at times.

I've made these many times now. I even made them for my sister's birthday. She called right away and said, they are delicious and couldn't believe they are gluten free. I did make a couple minor changes. I substituted 1/2 cup of the almond flour for hazelnut, and used apricots, since I didn't have cranberry. The last time I made them, I threw in some macadamias. Getting ready to make them again. One does have to note, since they have to sit a while in the oven, don't make them late at night :-)

Forgot to say I used fresh cranberries, which were great!

Hey, this is a really nice recipe, however, I just need to mention that honey is not a vegan ingredient. Unless you are using "vegan" honey (which I have never seen before) this recipe is not vegan. Try something like Agave if you want extra sweetness.

LOVE egg not but not the fat or artificial ingredients. Can't wait to try this recipe although I'm quite worried about the ginger part! I'll give it a try. Don’t forget my new bohemian and eclectic finds on Etsy here xo

I just made this! I subbed barley malt powder for the maca; it's really great! =) @Elizabeth Rose, check the bulk food section for raw hemp seeds. If you can't find them at Whole Foods, check for local natural foods stores or co-ops; they should have raw hemp seeds.
