The smell when baking this is amazing! Can't wait to try it in the morning, if I can wait that long :)

I am wondering if the apples in this granola make it necessary to refrigeration....I am not sure the baking time will be sufficient to avoid mold spores from the apples in a short time. Do the apples actually dry and crisp in that amount of baking, with all the moisture available I would probably opt to refrigerate the batch and also consume within a few days to avoid mold....

Post image for Post-Workout Vegan Smoothie Recipe

After you work out your muscles – whether it’s yoga, running, or lifting weights – it’s important to get the proper nutrients into your body. Once you’ve finished a workout, there’s a period of about 20 minutes where your body takes anything consumed and uses it as energy right away, as opposed to storing it for later. This short period of time is crucial to aiding your body, and this quick smoothie is the perfect answer. Read more »

Post image for How To Make Tea

There is something really beautiful about tea…the scent, the dried herbs and flowers, and of course the taste.  In all of my years of drinking tea, I don’t know why I’ve never attempted to make my own blends.  Read more »

I just love tea! I have just been reading a book that recommends different blends of tea for wellness. My concern is the same as others, finding the ingredients! i love, love, love the basketweave spoon you used! Love to find one of those also. Thank you!
Allison -Nov 16, 2013, 10:52PM
A lovely idea. I have always loved tea more than anyone in my family. I grow passion flowers and I collect the leaves for tea because it is good for the heart and it's very relaxing, but I hadn't thought of combining it with other things. Thank you for the gift idea.

Kathy -Jan 13, 2014, 1:50PM
I am grain and dairy free and my 2 year old grand daughter is allergic to eggs. I adapted this recipe to meet our needs and to use up bits of different nut butters left in my fridge. I used 1/2 c cashew butter, 1/2 c walnut butter, 1/4 c pecan butter, for the egg, I substituted 1 T apple cider vinegar plus 1 t baking soda. This is in addition to the 1t baking soda called for in the recipe. I also added 1/2 t baking powder. Then followed the rest of the list of ingredients using maple syrup instead of honey. The mix was a little thin so, I put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before spooning it out onto my baking sheet. They turned out great. They puffed up in the oven while baking but fell quite flat as they cooled on the baking sheet. They are soft and sweet and wonderful and taste like the ones I've made using grains. I'm so happy and don't feel deprived now. Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

These were great! I have a friend who is allergic to dairy and gluten so these will be perfect. I actually left out the salt (I hate salt in baked goods), sugar, and chocolate chips (I'm a weirdo who hates them). I put in sliced almonds instead. I also only had some ground chia seeds so used those in place of the flaxseed.

Post image for Juice Recipe From Love Grace: Berry Chia Fresca

Today I have another delicious juice recipe to share from Love Grace – a company that specializes in delicious gourmet juices, smoothies, and elixirs.  Jake Mabanta, the founder of Love Grace, came up with this and the Super C Tonic we shared a couple of weeks ago exclusively for the blog!  This juice is a delicious blend of two of my favorite berries — strawberry and raspberry — along with chia seeds for added benefits. Chia seeds are a superfood and an excellent source of protein, fiber, antioxidants, and essential vitamins and minerals.  This beverage not only tastes amazing but is great for sustained energy as well — read on for the recipe! Post image for 3-Ingredient Quinoa Recipe

I’m a huge fan of quinoa. It’s a healthy replacement for grains like rice and couscous, and it can be incorporated into so many different dishes. My favorite quinoa recipe is actually one I came up with on my own when I was throwing together random ingredients in my kitchen. Read more »

I tried this last night! Simple, yummy and healthy. Thanks again!
Rogue -Aug 07, 2013, 2:39PM
This sounds amazing, minus the cheese of course. I wouldn't even replace it with anything, but you could use nutritional yeast instead. Not only is it vegan friendly, but also much healthier!
