Thanks for sharing this recipe - I've had bad knees since my mid-teens and now my hips have their off days too, so I'm looking forward to giving this a go and seeing the effects!

Nancy - you can certainly use any milk you please, I prefer nut milk. Let me know how it turns out! :)

I love the thought of cooking and eating in season, because you not only support the local farmers but are a bit pressured to get creative. I love that! https://www.makeandmess.com/

That last cocktail sounds very tasty, I'd like to try that (although it's a long list of ingredients...). Guess the Aperol Spritzer is a lot easier! https://www.makeandmess.com/

Oh yummy, this chocolate looks heavenly! And the shop has a very cool interior design, it's a bit towards industrial style right? https://www.makeandmess.com/

Hi Chloe and Miss! You have excellent points. I drink responsibly farmed (in the capacity possible) cow's milk only when a good dairy alternative is not an option, probably less than once a month (I'm basically lactose intolerant). Unfortunately, in the grand scheme of things, dairy farming remains a widespread issue for the depletion of land integrity. I'm with ya! I think that changing western integration of dairy into the diet is a pretty large undertaking, and discourage the replacement of it with yet another harmful farming method. I just hope we remain aware and educated and take small steps in the right direction on all fronts. <3

My favorite drink is gin also and Tamarind Cordial is so tasty for me. I brought ingredients at Tesco Store in Manchester. Making this drink was much easier than I expected.
fp julie -Jan 08, 2016, 9:23AM
Charity - Follow the hyperlink on the Tamarind text for Astor Wines, where you can order it online. It's a rare liqueur, only 500 bottles made, so definitely worth picking up! The coupe glasses were my great-grandmother's, you can find similar styles in our vintage section :)
