Post image for The Best Way To Fight Off Allergies This Season

For the past couple of weeks, my allergies have been bad.  With the first bloom of a new season, specifically in spring and summer, my eyes and nose begin to suffer. This has always been something that’s affected me, and I know I’m not alone. Thankfully, when we were in Atlanta, I picked up a tip from a friend who swears by a sweet and gooey substance that will help do the trick… Read more »

It only really works if you live a certain radius from the bees producing the honey, I think it's like 10 miles

Post image for 5 Reasons To Eat A Dandelion This Spring

Dandelions are incredible. Read more »

Nicole -May 21, 2014, 3:10PM
Growing up, my great grandmother - and eventually my grandfather, mother and her cousins - would all go dandelion 'hunting' in open, empty fields, Dandelion salads were a staple for our summer diet with a little oil, vinegar and salt to taste. Now, most fields are plowed over and its harder to find them as most lawn dandelions are usually treated with weed killing chemicals, or otherwise very small. After reading this post, I'm determined to plant my own dandelion garden!
Emily -May 20, 2014, 5:29PM
I've never thought about eating dandelions but the health-benefits are amazing. Oh, how I wish I had a yard so I could plant my own...#bigcityproblems http://buildyourbliss.wordpress.com

Just tried this recipe this morning and I loved it. I was all out of bananas so I replaced them with pureed mango and it contributed the a thick sweetness that made me omit the honey (not the biggest fan of super sweet morning things). Topped with fresh kiwi for a little tart addition to finish it off. Thanks for the recipe!
Delaney -May 14, 2014, 2:13PM
I don't eat dairy, so I've been using soy yogurt and I can't find bee pollen anywhere, but other then that, i've been having this for breakfast the past three days- SO tasty, and I feel great!

Pantai is indonesian word for beach. Just want to shout it out there hehe. And this looks heavenly! But I'd probably subtitute it with normal black tea though :)

Post image for May Seasonal Produce

Spring is now in full swing and with it we have an array of fresh, colorful, seasonal produce.  Read on for a list of what is in season this month, along with imagery from Julie Lee of Julie’s Kitchen! Read more »

Megan -May 06, 2014, 8:50PM
I am just wondering where you are basing these "seasonal" posts from. Mexico? I enjoy this blog for the craft posts and the imagery. But, as a farmer I find these seasonal posts both misleading to the consumer, and frustratingly inaccurate. Most anything is going to be in season somewhere sometime. These post would be much better if they were more regional. For instance in Pennsylvania corn is not in season until July/August.

This is my favorite time of year for produce...all of my favorites. The images in this post are stunning, by the way. xo http://buildyourbliss.wordpress.com

I've been on such a smoothie kick lately and am constantly looking for new combinations to try. Thank you for reminding me of this one! My go-to blend (this week!) has been frozen spinach, 100% carrot juice, strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds, and honey. So simple and delicious! http://buildyourbliss.wordpress.com
