Post image for Food Trend: The Rise of the Slow Food Movement

Whether one chooses to dine in or out, it doesn’t take a tortoise to be a slow foodie.Read More

In Chinese Medicine, it is always recommended to cook your food for longer periods of time, because this allows the food to retain more warmth and heat, and makes the food more digestible. In the winter time, this is how we keep our bodies warm; from the inside. This time of year I love slow roasting veggies such as sweet potatoes, butternut squash, zucchini, and bell peppers. I feel such a difference in my internal temperature from making the switch to cooking my food longer. I used to always feel so freezing. Great post. : ) http://seedoflifeacupuncture.com

I am totally in love with the idea of slow food and think it allows us to enjoy food we are eating more as well as the company we are with while having our meals. Rae of Love from Berlin

This recipe is brilliant, I used the flax eggs, replaced molasses with honey and coconut sugar with brown sugar as I didnt have the called-for ingredients. Absolutely delicious, moist cake.

Have finally tried this - fabulous!!! The nutmeg with apples and buckwheat give a great flavour!!! However it would stick to the baking dish - any tips to prevent that?

I think the banana bread takes 2 tsp of matcha! With 2 tbsp they came out very green. I'm calling them grinch bars.

I'm guessing you would have the same benefits from drinking the juice from sauerkraut...i've been trying to eat a lot more fermented vegetables as they are great for your digestion. I have some pickle and cabbage sauerkraut, and will definitely start drinking the leftover juices. http://seedoflifeacupuncture.com
