another puppy to introduce you guys to! say hello to gus, who lives with our creative director. he’s quite a character- he explored every inch of our office and just wanted to say hello to everyone and help out!
i love his collar!
our vintage team was working on something and gus wanted to help…
but our graphic designer had to take him back upstairs so he wasn’t in the way :)
see ya gus! nice meeting you!
it’s been a long day :) happy friday!
i moved desks today, along with a couple of other co-workers, and this is my new space! exposed brick and tons of light…love.
my new workspace and a closeup of my “mood board.”
some other things that caught my eye today…
i caught our web studio team shooting something top secret here in our lobby ;)
and i got to dog-sit this cutie pie for a little while this morning :)
to those asking, the puppy is a cairn terrier and australian shepherd mix :)
we are looking for an assistant stylist! this is a full time position at our offices here in philadelphia. for more info on responsibilities and qualifications, and/or to apply for this job, please click here.
i am completely in love with our latest vintage loves vignette, “namaste!” the selection of indian printed dresses, worn denim and woven bags are right up my alley. i especially love the length of a lot of the dresses and that they’re shorter for going into spring and summer. perfect summer festival dress, anyone?!?
coincidentally, one of our fp girls came in today wearing a vintage dress just like the ones above! i love how she styled it with a wide belt and boots.
lou just happened to be walking by and we couldn’t resist putting her in the photo :)
and since its not quite warm enough yet, these dresses look awesome paired with tights, boots and a faux fur jacket too!
and here is our amazing vintage team at the vignette shoot, being awesome:
namaste!
a little over a year ago one of our fp girls adopted a sweet little bull mastiff puppy named jazmyn…you may remember, i posted some photos of her back then:
jazmyn doesn’t come to work with her mom because she’s got a little too much energy to sit at her desk all day, but she came in today to say hello and look how much she’s grown!!
such a pretty girl :)
we are looking for a visual merchandising intern to work here in the home office! this is a part time (3-4 days/week), unpaid position and you must be able to receive school credit. the sooner you can start the better!
all eligible applicants can send their resume and free people inspiration board to yournamehere@urbn.com and reference the spring free people visual merchandising internship position.
everyone looks so lovely today! maybe its the beautiful weather?
the latest exhibit to go up over in building 543 might be one of my favorites to date. it’s impossible not to notice it when you walk in… back in the far corner by the cafeteria, a strange tower appeared last week… upon closer investigation it is revealed to be a tower of books, carefully stacked to form a rainbow of color with their spines.
“arguments #6C” by tom bendtsen.
the opposite wall displays more eye-catching sculptures like these:
“(un)mending” by libbie soffer
“so long and thanks for all the fish…” by joanna platt
and then this appeared above the elevator next to our café…pillows of yarn and crochet hanging like icicles from a dr. seuss book. this blew me away – it’s called “heaven” by melissa haims.
the exhibition of contemporary sculptures, titled “the journey,” opens today at gallery 543 at the navy yard, which is open monday through friday from 9am to 5pm.
there’s a new girl in the office, and i am in love. meet louisiana, lou for short, the newest member of the fp pup family! she belongs to our retail operations coordinator and is a cairn terrier and australian shepherd mix. her markings and colors are so unique she almost looks wild! but she is the softest and sweetest thing ever…she was so sleepy when i took these pictures.
why are you waking me?
and here she is hard at work on mom’s desk today…
she kills me.
some oldies but goodies :)
