Post image for Band Crush: Meet Brooklyn’s Quiet Loudly

Don’t let those flowers, spectacles, and suits fool you, Quiet Loudly is a band that can rock. And, true to their name, they can also pull you in with their softer side as they did in my case with the song “You Were The Leaves” that we featured in last week’s Prairie Braid Video. Read more »

I really like Mumford & Sons, but I feel like lots of their music feels the same, you know? Like there's no variety.

SF seems like the quintessential Free People city - funky, boho, free spririted - yet no FP store here. What gives?
Izzi -Aug 07, 2012, 3:25PM
I saw the dead weather a couple years back and it is my favorite concert i have been to to date, jack and alison are like nothing else when they get together!

I've seen the Avett Brothers about three or four times now and they never get old. Their shows have such an incredible energy...popping guitar strings left and right! I definitely prefer them live! I saw Wilco a few years back. They were also amazing! Totally agree with you, She's A Jar is one of my favorite songs :)

Post image for Dream Festival: We Need Your Votes!

We’re right smack in the middle of festival season right now, still coming down from the fun of Pitchfork and already thinking about Outside Lands in August! We were talking about what our dream festival lineup would be, and we ended up with two (incomplete) lineups that we were torn between. Can you help us settle the debate? Read more »

katie -Jul 25, 2012, 9:31PM
definitely the second lineup because bon iver, fiest, the tallest man on earth, and first aid kit are amazing; however, if beach house was included in the second it would be perfect! :)

I'd go to Dover, because I have already seen Jeff Tweedy, and as cool as it would be to get two lawn tix for the SBC, it would be insanely crowded and almost not worth it. I know for the 92.5 XTU concert, it was jam packed from what I could see from the pit. Also, Modest Mouse and the Black Keys are great!!! :)) Not to mention camping at festivals is a heck of a lot of fun!! www.forsurejadore.blogspot.com
