Post image for Summer Meets Fall With Pressed Flower Candles

The soft murmur of a new season is on the horizon. Suddenly, we’re all sick of wearing sandals and cut offs, and sure, we still love the beach, but does it have to be so hot every day? The collective yearning for apples and cider, cold air, and layers. Read more »

From previous candle making experience essential oils don't work well for scenting candles, but you can buy actual candle scent oils online (I use eBay.) They're pretty inexpensive and work alot better :) xx
kinzalamar -Sep 01, 2014, 9:47PM
I love candles especially in the fall. Making my own would be a nice fall craft to do with my sister. I think I will try putting essential oils so the candle smells nice. http://kinzielamar.blogspot.com

Post image for Dreams Of A Silverado Night

Those last nights of summer where you can feel the golden hours soaking into your soul.  They knock at the wild heart that lies beneath, and you can feel a new adventure settling into your bones.  Pack your bags and take to the road. Bond with the sounds of the old Silverado engine as it tells stories of the unknown.  Find the adventure, chase the light…let the sounds and sights of the final days of a northwest summer prevail. Post image for Whipped Coconut Oil For Hair And Skin

We talk a lot about oils here on the Free People blog, and for good reason – they’re amazing for both your external and internal health. Personally, I’m a fan of coconut oil: I cook with it, slather it on my skin, rub it into the ends of my hair, and even add it to my coffee and tea. Read more »

Love how you guys always have natural homemade product recipes, however I'm allergic to coconut oil. Do you have any shampoo/conditioner/body product recipies that don't contain coconut oil?
Dave -Sep 06, 2014, 6:51AM

Post image for How To Simplify A Complicated Life

I’ve always been a hoarder collector by nature. As a child, I had the eye of a magpie, collecting and displaying little things I’d find, but while this habit started out innocently enough, lately I’ve felt the need to simplify. Read more »

I LOVE all of these styles. The price is so insane though. People who don't nessecarily make a lot of money want to buy them but cannot afford to. If you are about peace and love and free will than why not help out the public a bit and lower your prices?? Sincerely frustrated, Melissa

Post image for Outside Lands 2014 Music Highlights

Music festivals are not always the best venue to fully experience music.  With so many people in one place, the crowd can be overwhelming, and if the artist doesn’t have the right stage presence, they aren’t able to fully captivate the audience and the performance can fall flat.  I definitely did not get to see all of the bands I wanted to see at Outside Lands, but I was able to catch a few performances that really stood out. Here are some of my highlights from Outside Lands 2014! Read more »
