For this week’s shopable street style we’re showing you a casual, laid-back outfit from LA; a cool, layered outfit that’s great for temperature changes. We love how she has layered a sweater over a striped dress and then tied a shirt around her waist, in case it gets a little hotter and she needs a lighter layer instead. What I love about springtime the most is the transition — when you start to feel the weather getting a little warmer, when you see the first buds appear on the trees and then everything starts to glow and become bright. Things are given a new life. This spring I have decided to decorate my back porch and start to grow herbs and flowers, starting this weekend. I have been researching heirloom seeds and have purchased a couple of packets from The Happy Cat Farm right here in Philly.

One of mine from SXSW was the California-based band IO Echo, which consists of Ioanna Gika and Leopold Ross. For many months now I have been drinking lemon, honey, ginger and cayenne pepper throughout the day. It awakens me and stimulates my senses. Ginger is very good for the stomach and the lemon and cayenne pepper help to open up the nasal passages, allowing a nice breathing pattern. I always have a sweet tooth — especially during mid-day — and the honey in the drink helps to soothe it. Read more »
