Post image for Rad Fruits: Benefits Of Cherimoya

It’s funny, I’ve perused the produce section at health food stores countless times, yet I always seem to end up buying only what I know I like. There are tons of fruits and vegetables out there that are interesting, healthy, and delicious… and I want to make it my mission to try them all. Read more »

I have never seen one of these before. Looks like a pear with scales. I'll have to pay more attention at Whole Foods next trip and see if they have them. I'm curious what it tastes like now

Post image for SXSW Photo Diary: Part 2

Julia pretty much summed up our trip to SXSW in her diary post, but I wanted to share some photos that I took along the way as well. When you travel with someone, you may be with them at all the same places, but each person captures the trip from their own perspective. Read more »

Post image for Behind The Scenes Of The Ride (Part 2)

When you think of a Vegas wedding, thoughts may come to mind of spur of the moment, perhaps alcohol-induced, short-lived marriages. But there is something so romantic about it to me… the feeling of spontaneity, of letting yourself get lost in the moment, and following your heart. Feeling so in love with someone that it just can’t wait, and you don’t need anyone else there beyond your two perfectly connected souls. Read more »

Post image for 4 Magic Places To Apply Concealer

First of all, I’d like to start this post off with a friendly little reminder that you do not need makeup. You are gorgeous on the inside as well as the outside. There’s nothing that the presence or lack of a little makeup can do to change this about you. Know that. But for those of us who enjoy wearing makeup — especially on those days when we just aren’t feeling as on top of the world as usual… I wanted to share a little tip I came across.

I just made this but used 500ml water, 3tbsp cider vinegar and instead of just lime juice I chucked the zest in too. It is so good that I now wish to drink nothing else!

Post image for What Green Says About You

March 17th: a day for green. And just 3 days shy of the spring equinox: yet another time for this beautiful hue. Green… the color of nature, of growth, of life. A tone that represents learning… balance… harmony. If you find yourself drawn to the color green, it may also be true that… Read more »

Yes, I can relate, green has aways been my favorite color and as a young child remembering how lucky I was to have emerald as my birth stone.
cristina -Mar 18, 2014, 10:33AM
green, in all its shades (emerald, kelly, mint, olive, army, etc), has been my favorite color, the color I am most drawn to, for as long as I can remember. I remember being young and coloring and not liking what I colored if there wasn't green in it... it looked like something was missing haha My prom dress was emerald green. My gorgeous gown I wore for my senior voice recital for graduating from college in music was the most gorgeous shade of emerald green! When Pantone named emerald the color of the year last year I freaked! All my friends know, if it's green, I'm gonna like it and want it ;) This post describes me TO A T! I can't explain how ME this post is hahaha I'm officially creeped out :) how can the colors your attracted to say so much about who you are??! That's impressive!

This totally happens to me almost every night - I'm always too comfortable or sleepy to write or draw what pops into my head!
Rita -Mar 17, 2014, 9:57AM
I don't know who said that phrase above, but I remember reading that the painter Salvador Dali had this amazing creative process: He would sit with a spoon and try to fall asleep, the moment he did the spoon obvisously would fall in the floor, he would wake up with the noise and go painting, because that way he had triggered his subconcious! The amazing surreal creations he left us are basically a gift of the sleep! :)

Exactly my thoughts, Rorschach! I very rarely find horoscopes accurate, & even when they are I know it's just the ratio of coincidence. It makes me sad that grown adults think balls of rock & burning gas determine their lives instead of their opportunities & choices, especially when they reject a potential job or SO based on zodiac crap. I guess people choose to believe in horoscopes because they don't want to feel responsible for mistakes so they blame "the stars".
Rorschach -Mar 17, 2014, 2:34PM
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forer_Effect This is why you all think these are so "accurate". Fun, maybe. I don't understand how a person with money could ever choose to spend it on this.
