OMG those are just so stunning! I love naked cakes, there is something so sweet and beautiful about them. I love that her cakes are gluten free, and this is exactly the kind of cake I'd love to have at my own wedding. A special cake for a special day! X

Post image for The Mohawk-Inspired Wedding ‘Do We’re Obsessed With

Google the phrase “Wedding Hair” and the results are, well… bleak. Read more »

Cortney -May 29, 2015, 12:55PM
Jenny - Yes, a Dutch braid is all braided under. When she says "under over" she means that you will start by braiding one strand of hair under the other. When you move on to strand number two, you will also braid it under. In doing this, it will cause the first strand of hair that you started with to go over the top of strand number two. Although each strand of hair is braided under, it creates an "under over" effect when you pay attention to what is happening to the individual strands. Basically, it's a case of "you say toe-MAY-toe, I say toe-MAH-toe." It just depends on how you look at it. Hope this helps.

Post image for The Fine Art of the Getaway Car

Think back to some of the earliest documentations of weddings. The image that immediately comes to my mind is a bride and groom side-by-side, being carried away into a blissful horizon by a vehicle that’s been lavishly decorated.

Ummm those look amazing. In my town we don't have any vegan bakeries so I don't really get to enjoy any sweets. Now it is my goal to go there and order just about everything I can. I am curious though about what sweeteners she uses. Does she use agave nectar, dates, non-refined sugar or regular refined sugar? You know? I mean refined sugar is still a much debated vegan ingredient. Some don't consider it to be vegan because the final product is vegan but the process of which its made is not.

This was just lovely! Miel seems wonderful and the cake here is gorgeous!

I would love to surprise my partner with these jackets! I'm originally from California, but something kept pulling me towards Australia. I made my way to Panama, then hopped on a boat to sail across the Pacific. As soon as I reached the Sunshine Coast, I felt completely at home. I jumped off the boat, and found a job and apartment in a matter of days. Everything seemed to fall into place. On my first weekend, I stopped at a bar for a glass of wine after work. As I was leaving, I noticed a guy outside. We started chatting and the hours just flew by. We were pretty much inseparable from the start. We now have two beautiful little girls, Coral and Indie, and can't wait to get married. I always felt so restless, wanting the next new thing. Now, every day is an adventure with the love of my life, and there is no where I'd rather be.

These jackets are so rad - I love them. JJ and I met almost 4 years ago. We were both surfing a little-known wave in San Diego on a Sunday morning...it was my local break and doesn't get very crowded. I usually know, or at least recognize everyone in the lineup. Normally I like to be left alone in the water, but I've never wished that someone would talk to me so badly in my life. After what felt like forever, he broke the ice and we started talking, which was great because I pretty much had hypothermia at that point. We were doing a lot more talking than surfing, and eventually took the conversation to the beach. Then to a cafe for lunch, and then to my favorite local bar for a beer. Before we knew it the sun was setting and he had to get back to LA for work the next morning...turns out JJ lived 2+ hours away and was in town with friends for the weekend. Before he left, we made plans to spend the very next weekend together. It was obvious to us from the day we met that this was something special. For our 6-month anniversary, we went camping in Joshua Tree National Park, which is in the high desert of SoCal. It was the most special place either of us had ever been (which says a lot considering we're both surfers who love the ocean). 2 and a half years later we went back to Joshua Tree for our 3 year anniversary, and he proposed. Our wedding date is 3/19/16 in Joshua Tree, CA.

Moon Canyon is such a beautiful brand full of talented creatives. I have SO loved following their journey on Instagram and I was so excited to see them here! I love a ton of greenery (herbs, succulents, eucalyptus) for weddings. I'm tying the knot in September and that's definitely our plan! Hazel + Scout

such gorgeous flowers......I love to see unique bouquets at weddings...something a bit rebellious, flowers that is not the typical "wedding flower" bouquet seen in all the standard wedding magazines...I especially love the wild flowers freshly picked from a spring meadow, flowers that are a bit unruly and untamed....something a bit more boho and free spirited than the "typical bouquet" is a breath of fresh air to me! .
