Post image for Dream Symbols & Their Meanings: Flying

Dreams are an incredible thing. Sometimes they last a mere split second, whereas other times they seem to go on forever. Sometimes a dream is so lifelike that you may actually believe the events occurred in real life, whereas other times a dream is so ridiculous that you can’t even comprehend what’s going on. Dreams are a subconscious reflection of what’s going on within our mind. Read more »

Sorry for the typo what I meant is that the garbanzo beans look like chick peas.
Marise -Mar 17, 2014, 11:49PM
This soup sounds and looks delicious, however, what are garbanzo beans? Are they chic peas as we know them in Australia, they plonk like it. Looking forward to making this soup. Thanks

I love this place. It really is (was?) a hidden gem. Its run well and the atmosphere is awesome.
Emilie Rose -Sep 01, 2013, 2:35PM
This is fantastic! I'll make sure to stop by here when i'm hanging around Temple's campus! As a fellow Philly girl, I spend most of my time in center city, where the hubbub takes place, so it's nice to find these little gem's around the city! My recommendation for anyone looking to visit this city, is to stop by Miel Petisserie, it's a little french bakery/cafe that is one of the few places that sells french style macaroons. It's located at 17th and walnut <3

whenever i go to ojai, i always go to a bookstore called bart's books. it's a reconverted house covered floor to ceiling with used and antique books, most of them for an amazing price! there's always an amazing selection, and it's fun to wander around the house finding secret nooks and crannies!

These pictures make me want to move to the west coast! I love the way you edited the photos. Did you do the text by hand? I’ve never seen that done before. xxM

Post image for 5 Alkalizing Foods To Eat Every Day

Life is all about balance. Ying and yang; light and dark; work and play…and our bodies are no different. The human body is constantly striving to maintain a balanced pH level in the blood in order for it to survive. Read more »

Diana -Sep 01, 2013, 8:27PM
These foods all have wonderful nutritional benefits but it has nothing to do with blood pH... which is not affected by what you eat. Your body regulates pH through a balance of carbon dioxide and bicarbonate... an imbalance in pH results from serious medical issues like respiratory depression or kidney failure. I love this blog but implying that eating "alkalinizing foods" can cure "seeming incurable illnesses" is offensive to anyone with a basic medical education. Promoting the idea that "alkalinizing foods" will cure your illnesses is as irresponsible as promoting juice cleanses to "clear toxins"... which they don't. Kale is rich in fiber and vitamins, and is a great component of a well rounded diet. It doesn't need to have magical pH properties to be healthy
Juliette Laura -Aug 31, 2013, 10:12AM
So glad to see that I am an avid eater of all of these! Especially lemon kale and cucumber! xo, Juliette Laura http://juliettelaura.blogspot.com http://www.etsy.com/shop/InfiniteStyleShop

The smell when baking this is amazing! Can't wait to try it in the morning, if I can wait that long :)
Cheer -Sep 06, 2013, 5:43AM
I am wondering if the apples in this granola make it necessary to refrigeration....I am not sure the baking time will be sufficient to avoid mold spores from the apples in a short time. Do the apples actually dry and crisp in that amount of baking, with all the moisture available I would probably opt to refrigerate the batch and also consume within a few days to avoid mold....
