Post image for Blogger Diary: A Day For Yourself

Last week, I took a day for myself. One day to do as I pleased. Mostly, I cleaned. I cleaned so very much. Yes, I cleaned because I needed to, but I also cleaned because I wanted to. I did so at such a slow place that, I can honestly say, it was enjoyable.

Post image for 3 Superfoods To Add To Your Morning Oats

This post comes from contributor FP Naomi. Read more »

Manjit -Apr 18, 2014, 6:02AM
Always make sure you are using real true cinnamon, aka Ceylon Cinnamon / Sri Lankan Cinnamon. Why? Because the usual stuff available in the West is 'Cassia Bark Cinnamon' and when used frequently it actually is toxic to the liver. You can buy real Ceylon cinnamon teabags, ceylon cinnamon powder and ceylon cinnamon sticks over at http://www.buyrealcinnamon.co.uk/ International delivery is available - just email your order details so that postage can be worked out.

Mmmm, I love this recipe! I always have oatmeal in the morning and I haven't realized that its a great opportunity to add in my super foods. I will definitely be trying this, maybe adding some cacao powder, coconut chips, or goji berries? Love, Alex http://freshhealthynatural.blogspot.com

Post image for Honey Is The New Shampoo: Week 2

In a few days I’ll hit the 2-week mark since I began this no-commercial-shampoo, honey-washing journey. I must say, it has been quite the adventure thus far. I’ve never before wanted to reach for a bottle of shampoo so badly, but I’m sticking this out! Once again, I want to thank you all so so so much for all of your advice and support. I’ve been going over every one of your comments, and there is no way I’d be able to do this without you!  Read more »

I believe certain oils will protect your hair, like argan oil, but truly, you should ditch the heat tools! I find that twisting my hair and clipping it over my head (I shower at night so I do this with damp hair) and sleeping like this gives me beautiful spiral curls/waves!

I want to try no 'poo soooo bad! But I work in a high end hotel at the front desk and I don't think I could get away with the greasy look and the odor during the transition period. Sigh. In the meantime, I'm a total fan of Dr. Bronner's for shampoo and Argan oil as a conditioner. Good luck with the endeavor!

Wow, I'm incredibly surprised at her style icons because she has more style than all her "icons" put together, which usually look like bag ladies. I love her style if she learned from her icons then the pupil has surpassed the masters.

Post image for 4 Ingredients, 3 Ways

Just by being a part of this here blog, I’ve learned lots and lots about the uses and benefits of different foods. This time around, instead of listing off all the benefits of a particular food or sharing a particular recipe, I thought I’d give it a little spin: 4 ingredients, 3 ways.

I just came back from Melbourne about a month ago and had the best time ever! I stayed in Victoria, Fitzroy, St.Kilda and it was so interesting to see all the different types of people within that one huge city and the many different lifestyles that are all basically integrated! Aussies and Australia hold a special place in my <3! I wrote of bars/music festivals one should check out in Australia on my blog: http://fashnative.wordpress.com Check it out and let me know what you think! :)

Post image for Natural Dyeing With Coffee And Tea

Told you guys I’ve been on a coffee kick lately… I may not drink it, but of course I love using it to make body scrub, and who doesn’t enjoy spending some quiet time at a quaint cafe like this or this? Today I’ve got another use for coffee — and tea, too! Natural dyeing. We’ve done flowers and black beans, and now we’re on to coffee and tea. It’s easy, effective, fun… and it smells delicious.
