Right here is the right website for anyone who wants to find out about this topic. You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I really would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a fresh spin on a topic that's been written about for years. Excellent stuff, just great!

Post image for Love Letters: Honest Advice For Those Who Date

Hi, I’m Shani. You might know me from such blogs as…this one! Today, I’m starting a new, recurring column on BLDG 25 called Love Letters, in which I will answer any and all questions readers have about dating. Note, this is not an advice column for those in relationships, but instead a discussion for those hoping to be in one. I’m talking to you, the girl in the trenches, dealing with all the niceties of dating in the texting/Facebooking/Instagramming labyrinth we live in. Read more »

Cool site you have going here.
Sophy Singer -Jan 27, 2013, 8:48PM
I agree with everyone above! Don't date a co-worker. But if you do, know that it is a risk and please proceed with caution. I guess my advice here is (yes, I am giving advice - it's what I do - I'm a dating coach): connections are connections and when you're single they are hard to ignore and resist. The best situation when dating a co-worker is exactly that - DATING that person. Like, going on dates and getting to know one another in a romantic light, and hopefully, falling madly in love. The worst situation would be to start casually sleeping with someone you work with. This just leads to hurt feelings, false hope, and a very uncomfortable work environment. Really not worth risking your every-day surroundings just for some casual sex. You can do that with someone you meet at a bar, party, or online. Actually ,ANYWHERE but your workplace. That place, where you go. Every. Single. Day.

Post image for What We Love: Handwritten Notes From Our Bloggers

I always find that writing down the things we love makes us realize more the things we cherish. Sometimes we forget what we love the most. I love receiving  little love notes or Post It’s from friends and I collect them all in a little notebook. They are usually written on the most random materials too which makes them even more extra special. Read more »

Hey guys! This is so beautiful, I love the inspiration stuff you post! I did the one with writing notes to yourself yesterday (that was in Features) and absolutely loved it! I even passed out my notes to other people which made me feel even better! Anyways, was just fooling around on the computer tonight, looking at this art, thinking you guys should put together wallpaper for people! You guys post so many cool images of fashion, art and other rad stuff, I would totally rock a FP wallpaper (to keep the inspiration all day)! Just throwing it out there, hope you are inspired in some way by this little seed :) Thanks for all you guys do! - Erinn R.

I love this post! I love writing things down too. Sometimes I take my favorite text messages and doodle them down in my journal. Another little love of mine is coming home to your dog. They are always so happy that you are home :) xo Emily The Rancher's Daughter

Post image for My Bikram Journal Day 5, Final Day!!

I have come to my last day of this Bikram yoga challenge and I must admit I do not want it to end; having a challenge to document everyday has been somewhat therapeutic for me.  Although I will say I am looking forward to drinking coffee this weekend!   Read more »

I've just started Bikram! I've done four classes now and can relate to everything you were talking about. At first it is so challenging, and you are literally trying to count how many poses you have done, just so you can figure out how many more are to go, but then you step outside the room and feel so satisfied (despite being sick after my first class). I've noticed that because I sweat so much during the class, I become more aware of all the toxins and other bad things that are leaving my body, which makes me think even more about what I let enter into my body! Bikram has helped me in thinking of what I'm putting into my body, so when I feel like eating something that isn't good for me after a hard day, it's much easier to reconsider. It also helps me to consciously drink water more regularly too!! I've noticed I am also more aware of my posture and how I used my muscles. Tonight I found myself in the shower, unwinding by putting on hot, steamy water and stretching up and down, side to side, noticing the great affects Bikram is having on me. I would recommend to anyone, just don't give up in the first few lessons!

This is wild... I was looking for a Bikram course in Asheville and found this - as soon as you said "...the door opened… an elderly man walked in, “up please, begin” - I was like, "Joel Pierce...?" I didn't even know at the time that you were in Philly. I did some computer work for them a few years back in trade for classes, and man, did I get my time's worth. The man is a force of nature, and his instructors are really, really fantastic. The location is great too. I miss it. I definitely appreciate his approach, which is indeed different from many other instructors. I'm really glad you got a chance to meet him, and I hope you're still sticking with it. Really neat to read a story about Bikram Philly!

Post image for Book Club Meeting: The Power Of Now

Chapter two of The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle discusses consciousness and how to use it to eliminate pain in the present.  He begins by explaining that the mind is threatened by the present.  This is because the mind needs the reference of time in order to function and be in control – it thinks of things in terms of the past and future. I just finished reading "A New Earth"...amazing author!
Amber -Jan 27, 2013, 2:16AM
This book is awesome so far, but as others have mentioned - kind of a slow read. I was particularly struck by the author's ability to describe the ego. He brought it to life in such a way that i visualize it to be a different entity entirely, which makes it easier to single out when trying to take a step out of my head and into the now
