Last week, I took a day for myself. One day to do as I pleased. Mostly, I cleaned. I cleaned so very much. Yes, I cleaned because I needed to, but I also cleaned because I wanted to. I did so at such a slow place that, I can honestly say, it was enjoyable.
Yesterday was one of the coldest days we’ve had in quite some time on the East Coast, but we bundled ourselves up and made our way to New York City for a day with five of our amazing FP Me users! We had such a great time hanging out with these girls at our 5th avenue store as they tried on clothes and styled outfits for a shoot coming soon to the blog – stay tuned ;). Forget language barriers, politics, haves and have nots… connecting with an elder of 110 years old, holding hands and smiling souls: that’s it.
I did something last week that I rarely do. I took a vacation — a whole week off, with no plans. Well, the only plans were to drive to my beach house, where I would spend the week relaxing, taking long beach strolls, reading, writing, and just being. Life is funny…it always has other plans.
