Post image for Scenes From The Office

For this week’s Scenes From The Office, I noticed there was a bit of a green theme going on. From the greenery in our lobby and flowers on desks, to the green quilted hallway cubbies, the color green seems to reoccur a lot throughout home office. Have a look!Read More

Kacey Royer -Sep 16, 2013, 8:26PM
Hey FP! My name is Kacey and I have my own handmade jewelry business called "Found" for the boho, wandering soul. My concept is based off of the fact that I love nature and I try to incorporate "Found" objects into my pieces. I use a lot of crystals, stones, beads, shells, and vintage jewelry into my creations. I would be SO honored if you could feature my jewelry on your blog. I know it is a lot to ask, but I guess it just shows my desire to grow and learn as a designer and as a person, so I am giving it a shot! I am in love with FP and I stay inspired by FP style. My jewelry can be found at www.facebook.com/FoundByKacey and at @kaceyroyer on Instagram! If this is something youre not interested in, maybe there is some other blogs you know of that might be? Thanks a ton! xx

Post image for 3 Ways To Live In The Now

The whole concept behind living in the now is that letting go of the past and present will awaken your soul and allow you to let go of worry, find true peace and happiness, and really live. Ever since I read Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now (which we did a Bldg 25 Blog book club on earlier this year), I’ve been making a conscious attempt to live in the moment every single day.Read More

I LOVE this post! Thank you so much for sharing. In the last couple of years, I have found myself overwhelmed with everything to the point of numbness like you mentioned. It is hard to enjoy this very moment when you are dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. I have found that something that really helps me to live in the moment is Gratitude, even in the smallest things. Just acknowledging our thankfulness for the simple things has really opened my heart and eyes to the world around me. I also started reading a book called "1000 gifts by Ann Voscamp".....WONDERFUL! I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning to live "in the moment"

I read Tolle's A New Earth and it changed my life. Thank you for such a wonderful post. Being reminded to be here now is the greatest gift. Much love, http://www.myomlife.com/

Post image for Staying Natural: 10 Ingredients To Avoid In Beauty Products

I have always been a beauty product fiend. I find it really fun to try out all different skin, hair, and makeup products to see how they make me feel, and I’m constantly on a search for that one miracle product that will change my life (ha). As I’ve gotten slightly wiser over the past few years, though, I’ve learned that there are so many products out there that do way more harm than good.Read More

Uhhmmm newsflash here - but lipstick can't be picked off trees. I doubt any large scale company would is able to provide natural products in an economically sustainable fashion. Which is why they all use misleading terms such as "derived from natural ingredients" or "botanically based". The former covers everything in existence and the latter just mean it doesn't come from an animal, but maybe engineered, refined and synthesised to a degree that it's about as natural as oral bowel movement. I suspect that if you want natural then stick to your small local providers.
Steve Kingler -Dec 10, 2015, 6:28AM
Why is it that parabens are bad for us? It's true, "Parabens have been found in breast cancer tumors." Did you know that most living things on earth use parabens as a mechanism of defense. Are we that ignorant to think that just because we found a naturally made chemical such as parabens in breast cancer tissue that this chemical actually causes breast cancer? What if the chemical actually helps in fighting breast cancer, did anyone ever try to do any research on that? Don't give into the marketing gimmick... companies are using this paraben hype as a means of increasing their competitive advantage.
