Post image for Eco Dyeing With Flowers: Part 1

I have always loved experimenting with natural dyes.  The colors found in nature, in flowers, plants, and vegetables are so much more vibrant and beautiful than artificial colors, and it’s extremely rewarding when you are able to capture that color on a piece of fabric and wear it.  Read more »

Post image for My Bikram Journal Day Two

My alarm clock rang at 6:30am. I woke, my body ached, and I was for sure dehydrated. The 2.5 – 3 liters of water was clearly not enough.  Although my muscles hurt slightly and I had a head ache from lack of water, I felted enlightened. I was ready to head back to Bikram class after work and try harder. I nibbled on some peanut butter and jelly toast, packed my yoga kit, and headed into work.

SO incredibly disappointed by this entry. Bikram is NOT yoga. Bikram Choudhury is not a yogi and (much like Richard Haynes, Urban Outfitters CEO) is so untrue to the image he sells. The girls that write for this blog are NOT a reflection of Bikram (or even Haynes for that matter) but you guys should do some research before you go around promoting this. While you girls might like the idea of yoga, you should listen during the classes, read the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, take classes that are more than ashtanga, take restorative, meditative circles... etc. Yoga is not just poses, it is a way of thinking.

I was going to wait until it cools down here in Australia and start then, but after reading your posts I got so inspired that I immediately booked myself in for a Bikram challenge. I need to detox, change the way I eat, calm down. Thanks again for this so much, you are really inspiring.

Post image for 2 Ways To Wear Our Golden Age Top!

Ever since I saw our Golden Age Top in our January catalog, I have become completely smitten with it’s a-line angel like swing shape and crochet lace detail. It seems like the perfect top I could wear casually with jeans, with denim cut offs when it starts to get a little warmer, and on the beach with my bikini bottoms as a cute little cover-up. It’s an all-around easy top with prettiness.

Post image for Accessories As Décor: Displaying Your Sunnies

I’ve always felt that clothing and accessories make for excellent décor. Home decor is an expression of who you are – as is the way you dress yourself – so why not merge the two together by displaying your wardrobe elements around your home? Read more »

How great idea that you decorated your place with your sunglasses! It's creative and also pretty! It goes very well with your brick wall, and I like you decorated with some woods and threads. I'll do this too in my room. Thank you for sharing :)

Post image for Food Inspiration: Edible Flowers

With flowers on our mind this month, we can’t stop thinking about different ways in which they intrigue us. Edible flowers have graced dishes for centuries, it isn’t a new thing or a new fad, but right now we just happen to be hooked on some of the beautiful dishes we are seeing.

Post image for My Bikram Journal: Day One

I have always been the type of person who is continually searching for something… I have never felt rested. I needed to find my balance and calm the mild anxiety that had been following me for years. So, when the opportunity arose for me to participate in a 5-day Bikram challenge, I dove straight at the chance.

Balancing stick comes well before Camel. I think it's the 6th in the standing where Camel is closer to the end of class....before rabbit. Something tells me this isn't exactly true. Sorry.

You should keep going! Doing the 30 day challenge at Bikram yoga Philadelphia changed my practice for the better! It really was a fun experience.

Love this! Love the illustrations, normally mine is always the worst (Taurus) but just love this simple doodle. I dont usually look on horoscopes but it is funny what it says fits perfectly the fact that I am suscribing to some professionnal improvments! Olive xox

hi! although your horoscopes are great, the illustration of the Sagittarius really disturbs me. It is inconsistent and a poor reflection of what a Sagittarius, like my sister actually represents. Keep up the superb work!

I think the FP blog is so inspiring. All the quotes match my life perfectly, and the pictures that go along with them are so creative. I recently wrote a letter the the FP home office in Philly because I have been trying to contact somebody who might be able to answer a few questions I have. I am very passionate about creating my own personal handmade jewlery and I use the FP blog as a form of guidance. I have applied for several internships and it would mean THE WORLD if I got chosen for one, or even simply just being able to take a short tour of the home office. Do you know of anyone I could contact? Thank you so much. Your blogging is by far the best! Kacey Royer kroyer6060@gmail.com
