This week office style there was a little bit of summer in people’s wardrobes, washed denim and little florals made an appearance, accessorized with hats, soft layers and beaten up boots. The temperature dropped a little this week making outfits a bit more breeze friendly.

Brigitte Meinders started practicing yoga almost ten years ago in New York City and has fallen head over heels for it in the years since.
I first heard of the band Exitmusic when I was in Brooklyn for the Northside Festival a couple of weeks ago, and they blew me away with their expansive, breathtaking sound that sent chills down my spine. When I found out they were playing a show at Philadelphia’s Milkboy this week I was eager to see them again and sit down with the band for a quick interview.

This recipe comes from vegetarian food blogger, Kate, of Cookie & Kate. I love her blog because it’s chockfull of unexpected food combinations that approach the vegetarian and whole foods lifestyle with zest. With her pup Cookie by her side, it seems like Kate is always playing it up in the kitchen, and it shows through in her recipes.

Being able to take that cultivated energy back to your everyday life is more of a challenge than building it in the festival’s nourishing environment. The challenge is sustaining even when you aren’t surrounded by the positive influences and reminders.
Beachwood Sparks is one of those bands that seems like they belong in the sixties – sweet, swirling psychedelic rock with a country twinge that should be listened to on a sunny day spent barefoot in the park. Read more »
