Post image for Outfitted for the Lunar New Year: Celebrate in Red and Gold

Valentine’s Day isn’t the only holiday coming up this month… no, not by a long shot. Read more »

Hafizah K -Feb 19, 2015, 2:00AM
Lunar New Year is great! Although I don't celebrate it, it is hard not to get the festive vibes. It's nice seeing families come together, laughing and having a good time. My mother makes it a tradition to give sweets or cakes to our Chinese neighbours during this festive season. In return, they offer us treats, Mandarin oranges and probably my favourite: the ang pao! It's always great to soak in the happy atmosphere :) Love from Singapore
Stella -Feb 12, 2015, 10:42PM
Many Asians celebrate lunar new year, not just Chinese.. I think it is good fashion posting but it's only focusing on Chinese fashion. Maybe next time you can introduce lunar new year and its meaning. BTW this year is blue sheep's year.

This is the perfect example of why I come back to the Free People blog again and again -- beautiful, simple, raw, authentic inspiration that is completely achievable in my own life -- once I have the idea and the encouragement to go out there and do it =) xo www.threadandbones.com

I can't be on the road without bringing my favorite pillow from home to keep myself comfortable. However, I do need to eat better while on the road.
Anastasia -Feb 14, 2015, 11:33AM
This is an awesome find. I have a three-day moving trip coming up this summer to plan. What foods to bring, if we are driving a U-Haul and a car or just a U-Haul, what roads we will take, etc. When I travel, I am normally in the passenger's seat. The first several hours I have to sleep or I get car sick. Otherwise, my husband and I love to sing songs together. We practice harmonies, creating our own songs, or putting new lyrics to a favorite melody. One time we got 127 ants that go marching... that was a fun drive. I tend to avoid electronics on a drive unless. It's a radio. Even then, it's often nicer to have the radio off than on.
