How would you like to live in one of these painted apartment buildings in Russia? I love all the eye popping colors! Check out this blog for many more great photos! I think my car needs a paint job like this…
Last night our Free People kickball team had it’s final game of the season. Though we lost to Urban Outfitters with a score of 8 to 7, the FP team competed admirably, and had a lot of fun!
Some members of the team get psyched for the game!
Heather gives the ball a good hard kick.
Watch out! Elena is coming to get you!
Bob makes a sweet catch.
Was she out? No?
Kevin displays his killer throwing abilities.
I’m really excited to try out this tutorial from ThreadBanger- it shows how to knit your own bikini top! They go along very slowly and explain clearly what to do! The only thing is that there is a quick advertisement in the middle, but it’s worth it because the tutorial is good. If you need a little basic knitting instruction first, check out our learn-to-knit videos here, here, and here!
Our friend Lisa at Bazaarvoice, (the company that hosts our product reviews for our site,) used this fun generator at Wordle to make the word collage above. She took all of the product reviews on our website from the last few months or so, and entered them in the generator. The more a word was used, the bigger it appears in the image! It’s pretty fun! Plus, it made a cool visual of what our reviewers are saying.
Use the generator here to make your own word collages! It would be fun to take all the text on your Facebook profile, for example, and see what words come up the most!
I’ve enjoyed browsing through Polanoid, where these pictures are from, for a good part of this morning! Polanoid is in the process of building the biggest Polaroid-picture-collection on the planet to celebrate the magic of instant photography. I don’t know that it beats Flickr, but I like it! Check it out if you are a fan of photos!

These little brownie burgers and sugar cookie fries are so adorable! And tasty looking! Bakerella has a fantastic tutorial that you should definitely check out if you’re in a baking mood! She even has templates to create the tray and french fry holder! I can’t wait to try it out, maybe this weekend!
I love these book purses by Rebound Designs. Each purse is hand-made using a vintage hardback book and fabric. My only hang-up was, as an avid reader, I was a little bit sad to see the old books gutted to be purses. (Even though I want one!) However, Caitlin, the woman behind Rebound Designs, reports that most of the books she uses have already been damaged anyway. So hoorah! I’ll take the Nancy Drew purse please! Check out Rebound Designs’ Etsy shop here.
