One of our designers just got home from Hong Kong, and with her came these incredible shoes! She got them at a store there called IT, and said she noticed that “teddy-bear fur” like this is popping up on all kinds of clothing over there! You can bet all of us at the office are just dying to get a pair of furry sneakers like hers- they look so cool and fun!
Come check out the band of one of our accessories designers, Danielle! This Friday night at the Khyber, on 2nd and Market streets in Philadelphia, The Midnight Beat will be playing with Dark Horse & the Carousels and Federale! It starts at 9pm, and looks to be a real good show! Come hang out if you’re in town!
Our third We the Free store will open this Friday in an exciting new space on Cahuenga Blvd in LA. More on the We the Free store later, but here is some info about the new space created by our parent company, Urban Outfitters.
A new retail experiment in Hollywood, CA, Space 15 Twenty creates an opportunity for Urban Outfitters to collaborate with creative brands we find inspiring and interesting.
A courtyard leads from each store to an outdoor performance space and adjoining gallery. Both of which encourage designers and artists to become part of a curated environment. Working with neighboring music, film and art establishments, both courtyard and adjoining gallery will present a rotating cast of local musicians and artists.
The Urban Outfitters store will feature one-off installations by a new designer every few months. Alongside the 11,000 square foot Urban Outfitters store, Space 15 Twenty will host a selection of vendors. The revolving brands utilizing these spaces will reflect and compliment Urban Outfitters and present our customers with an overarching view of people and brands which are excited to be aligned with.
Check out the space15twenty for info on the other tenants and the great events the space will host.
This looks like so much fun! This wallpaper is perfect for those of us who are tempted to write and draw all over our walls, or who have children prone to do the same. It was created by Jon Burgerman, and can be bought from this store in the UK.
See some other cool wallpapers we’ve come across in our internet travels here, here, and here!
I saw this coloring wallpaper on Freshome.
Aren’t these pictures so pretty, and oozing with the Free People aesthetic? Free People girl Erica, of Santa Cruz California, went to gorgeous Wilder Ranch and took these shots of her two best friends! She was kind enough to send them our way, partly because everyone she knew commented on how “Free People-y” they looked! I agree, don’t you? I especially love the one with the horse in it! Awesome!
To see the rest of the shoot, have a look here on Erica’s site!
Thanks for sharing these with us Erica! They are so beautiful!
I was introduced to Oh Joy!. The tree shapes are cut from toilet paper rolls and then mounted on dowels on the wall creating the forest and shadows.
Browsing the artist’s site I found the Notice-Forest made with a McDonald’s Happy Meal bag. At first I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. I thought this was the inside of a room, and the McDonald’s graphics were projected with light or something. But the photo is actually take INSIDE the bag, and the tree has been cut out from the top of the bag and stood up inside. It’s amazing!
Just some pictures of our newest Free People store in Portland, all decked out for the holidays!
As if I didn’t already love this song enough, I saw the video for it recently and I am just going crazy over it! See for yourself and enjoy!
