Tis’ the season to start thinking about what you’ll be wearing to all of those holiday parties! One thing’s for sure, you’re going to need some good party shoes. Think – lots of glitter and glam mixed with blacks and deep reds for the perfect holiday shoe. Which pair will be making your toes twinkle?
I have to admit, when it comes to accessorizing, my head usually gets the least attention. Quick to throw on some rings or a dangly necklace, it rarely occurs to me to throw something on my head as well. BUT Free People has some of the coolest head pieces of seen of late, and I’m second guessing my accessory habits. I’m particularly drawn to the pieces with an Egyptian or 70’s vibe, but tell me – how would you top it off?
For this month’s catalog we celebrated fashion inspiration from decades past and present – moving through the 20’s, 50’s, and 70’s to current day. There’s so much to love about this book, and each decade truly has its own spirit and style. Now it’s time to vote: which decade did you enjoy the most?
One day while I was walking back from getting lunch, an adorable little clothesline caught my eye. A collection of printed bras hung all in a row, fastened by wooden clothespins and swaying in the wind. A bit later the scene was up on our site as the gateway for our “Hung Up on Prints” collection of printed bras. The assortment is out of this world. I almost want to buy one of each and recreate the scene in my bedroom.
In the switch from Spring to Summer I gave away a bunch of sweaters to make room in my dresser drawers. I’m now beginning to regret that decision as cooler air moves in and I’m getting bored with my current options. I’ve been looking around for pieces to fill the void, and The Weather Pattern: Fairisle and Nordic collection on the Free People website has some great options built in there. I’m loving these patterns and chunky knits.
It might be fall, but I don’t know that we’re completely ready to fully cover up those legs. Tights are a great way to bring shorts and other summer items into the cooler weather. They’re also really fun to wear with all the different statements they can make. Will your legs be sexy, loud, fun, or warm – what kind of tight are you wearing for fall?
There are a lot of great trends going on for fall, and if you’ve been to the Free People homepage lately, you’ll have seen our wonderful Fall Trend Report. Personally, I’m feeling one part menswear, one part color blocking, and a bit of polka dot. Which trend are you all loving for fall?
I can’t help but notice all of the great new ankle boots we have up on the Free People site. I’m especially loving a bunch of the heeled/wedged styles. I think that my wardrobe could benefit from one or two pairs of the following. What do you all think? Any favorites?
The much anticipated September catalog dropped this week, and in my eyes it’s the perfect depiction of fall – my favorite season. I can’t get enough of activities like apple picking, the smell of crisp air, jumping into piles of leaves…and the clothes, oh the clothes…
I love fall fashion. It’s chunky knits, cozy fabrics, jackets, scarves, and ankle boots. It’s plaids and flannels – furs and fairisle. The September catalog falls nothing short of what I love about fall fashion. I can’t wait to get all cuddled up in these clothes with a good book and a mug of something hot. Which outfit will you all be wearing to enjoy autumn delights?
Plaid is totally in right now (okay, it’s pretty much always in), and we have tons of it on our site. It’s the perfect print as we’re moving into fall since it has a warmer, cozy feel. Which plaid piece will you be getting for your wardrobe?
As sad as it may be, I always get excited when it cools down enough to wear corduroys again! I love cords, and I’m really excited that we have so many great different styles to choose from this year! which one is your favorite?
