Ah! Almost too cute- Carina of Carina’s Craft Blog made this little crochet holder for her lip balm! It’s so pretty, and if you are the type that needs your lip balm always handy, really useful! Check out the tutorial she made here!

This little editorial about shoes from French Marie Claire is so darn cute! The doggies look adorable chewing up the shoes! Though I’m sure if it was a pair of my own shoes I’d feel a bit differently… Hee hee!

walk don’t run

It’s so muggy in Philadelphia today! It is starting to feel very summery outside and for some reason I just have this great song, Walk Don’t Run, by The Ventures stuck in my head! I came across this video of them performing the song live in 1960 – I’m pumped! You don’t always find clips like these! It’s a little blurry at times but the close ups of their faces while performing are so cute! They look nervous!
Anyway, great song, enjoy!

Today I heard "Walk, Don't Run" on telphone call holding music. I was excited.! Took me a few minutes to bring the title to mind; we had the Ventures LP way back then; I can still picture the album cover. I looked it up on line and here I am. My sound card is out in my computer, but I enjoyed the video. Those were the days! Good music.

cool! I never knew the name of this song! + i like how the drummer is in the front, instead of stuck in the back like todays bands! ;) weheartfreepeople!

I love this awesome idea for a deer head decoration from doe-c-doe! She used the pattern from a vintage transfer (the middle picture) and embroidered the deer’s features onto the fabric, then backed it with 1/2″ foam core. Doesn’t it look awesome?!
Be sure to check out doe-c-doe, it’s good!

This is another awesome set I saw on The Moldy Doily – unfortunately she can’t recall where she found these pictures! They are so fun though – the clothes are like ultimate candyland party time! I would love to own the dress in the second picture especially. Crochet + tulle = yummy!
Do any of you happen to know off-hand where these pictures came from?

Coco+Kelley posted these amazing photographs by Julia Galdo the other day, and I keep coming back to them. Obviously the lighting is very appealing, but there is something else about them too that I really really like! Take a look around Julia’s site for more lovely photography.

fluid sculpture

Using a small loom like one might use for knitting hats, Charlie Bucket knit some plastic piping into a tube and then set it up so that he could push colorful fluids through the tubing. It looks awesome.

I feel like this piece by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, of Fendi, takes the two-finger ring craze and goes a step further. Isn’t it wild?! It’s so loud, but I don’t dislike it! I’d never have an occasion to wear something like that, but it looks cool on the model’s hand. What do you guys think? Interesting, no?

roya -May 16, 2010, 4:35PM
i love it, but i think with my hands being freakishly small it'd be hard to find the perfect fit, and Fendi? do i want to see the price on that?!?!

This is awesome! Such a crazy, but amazing idea! ~F
