i saw this DIY and it immediately reminded me of free people- fabric covered hangers! i have a bunch of plain old wire hangers in my closet and i think they are in need of a makeover. all you need is fabric – this would be a great way to reuse old free people bags! – and glue.
start by taping the starting point of the fabric to the hanger, and then proceed to wrap the fabric around the hanger. when you have covered the hanger, put a dab of glue on the end of the fabric and you’re done!
it’s one of those gray, rainy days in philly where you just want to curl up under the covers and sleep all day.

…at the w retreat and spa in vieques, puerto rico. the rest of the decor doesn’t look too shabby, but it’s those rainbow chairs that got me.
last week i was passing by the area where our graphic designers and office coordinator sit…and something was different. their office chairs had been replaced by large exercise balls! hmmm…what’s this all about guys?
“we got them to strengthen our cores! exercise balls are the new thing.”

“yes! when you wake up you feel like you did crunches the day before.”
“it keeps you moving throughout the day so you get a little workout. and we have a mid afternoon workout session.”
“plus they keep you from getting sleepy sitting at your desk!”

Isabel Lucas rocked out in LA in this adorable little number, there’s something very Annie Hall going on here. I love that she’s added quirky little stripey socks into the mix and that her hair and make up is undone.Cute as a button. I think I might be wearing this look going into Fall.

taking place at beauty bar in las vegas tomorrow night is the first ever matt bernson band bash! hosted by women’s shoe designer matt bernson, who’s helena boot and cecelia espadrille wedge are currently available at freepeople.
the party will be “the complete antithesis of the vegas industry event. no ropes, no VIPs…just incredible music and raucous celebration taking place at the famous beauty bar’s outdoor, fifties-era inspired courtyard and performance space.” here are the bands who will be performing!

Friday evenings are the best, you can let your hair down after a working week. Sleep until you want to wake up and not when the alarm tells you too.
I usually wake up on Saturdays cook breakfast and listen to music in a carefree mood, and relax.

i think this is the first time i’ve actually been stumped! i love them all. now vote!

one of our newest items is this fuzzy faux fur jacket that we’ve dubbed the almost famous fur jacket. inevitably, images and snippets of the movie of that name come to mind. there was a period of time when i was in college when i would watch this movie with my roommate to the point where we had it memorized and wanted to get a pet turtle and name it russell. i always felt like i was really meant to be a band-aid, traveling the states in a tour bus with a grungy long-haired band… living for music, love and nothing else.
