I've been using organic argan oil on my whole body + face + hair for a while now and I am really happy of it! One product for everything :) Recently I even did my own scrub adding one tbs argan oil + one tbs brown sugar. It works amazing! I'm really into trying coconut oil now and after reading this article I'm even more convinced :) - Marta www.surfragette.com

I have been cleansing with oil for nearly a year after my daughter got me on to it. I am 62 so have 'mature' skin and have always had oily/combo skin. I use macadamia oil and I have really noticed a difference. My skin is smoother and softer. I wash my face in the shower and just leave it on and pat off what remains at the end. I might try the coconut oil. I use it for other moisturizing (great on the feet) , even as toothpaste, but will give it a go on my face.

All of the comments so far have really great suggestions! A couple of other cool spots: Cascada el salto- waterfall in Morovis Charco Azul- waterfall in Vega Baja Charco Prieto- waterfall in Bayamon Charco los Novios- waterfall in Utuado Playa vacia talega- beach in Loiza Poza de las mujeres- beach in manati Los tubos-beach in manati Palomino island *also I second the bioluminescent bay in Vieques. It is an amazing experience and the beaches in Vieques alone are worth the trip out. If you stay the night you can camp there or stay in a hotel

I've done a 3 day juice cleanse with Juice Crafters and I hated it. I was so hungry, tired, dizzy and not well at all. I hope by trying it with a different brand like Juice Served Here, it goes better. http://throughmyowneyes.com

I really love this!! I never considered braiding my hair after a workout, but it definitely seems like a really nice idea. Also, I always use sea salt spray to add texture to my hair, but I never really thought about using it after a workout, but I really like the idea! And dry shampoo is definitely a must!!!

That last cocktail sounds very tasty, I'd like to try that (although it's a long list of ingredients...). Guess the Aperol Spritzer is a lot easier! https://www.makeandmess.com/

Wow, love all the ideas! Interesting comment on the PH an d applying to the face....I just tried a cocnut oil and baking soda, more oil than soda, and scrubbed my face with it and it felt wonderful but I know the skin likes things more acidic. Would adding a little vitamin C powder make it more acidic? Love the photos too Emily!
Mara -Jan 28, 2016, 10:03PM
APPLYING BAKING SODA TO YOUR SKIN IS NOT SAFE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT APPLY IT TO YOUR FACE. Baking soda has a pH of 9. Your skin has a pH of 5.5-6 and if you're male then it's more in the 6.5 area. Because baking soda is so alkaline, it will literally burn your skin and destroy the delicate acid mantle. This results in dry skin, blemishes, accelerated signs of aging, etc. Same goes for using lemons; they have a pH of 2 and will also destroy the acid mantle. Anything you use on your face MUST be in the pH range of 4-6. A pH under 4 (or 3.5, can't remember) is reserved for professional chemical peels done by a professional. And nobody in their right mind creates skin care products with a pH as high as 9 :/
