How inspiring! And that tree pose....I don't even know how you get into that position let alone stay there and not fall down but good for you! xx

What an incredible journey! I'm still moving through my yoga (and general fitness) journey and I hope my experience is as positive as yours. I'm not looking to get my yoga certificate or anything, but this is great inspiration!

That last cocktail sounds very tasty, I'd like to try that (although it's a long list of ingredients...). Guess the Aperol Spritzer is a lot easier!

Wow, love all the ideas! Interesting comment on the PH an d applying to the face....I just tried a cocnut oil and baking soda, more oil than soda, and scrubbed my face with it and it felt wonderful but I know the skin likes things more acidic. Would adding a little vitamin C powder make it more acidic? Love the photos too Emily!
Mara -Jan 28, 2016, 10:03PM
APPLYING BAKING SODA TO YOUR SKIN IS NOT SAFE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT APPLY IT TO YOUR FACE. Baking soda has a pH of 9. Your skin has a pH of 5.5-6 and if you're male then it's more in the 6.5 area. Because baking soda is so alkaline, it will literally burn your skin and destroy the delicate acid mantle. This results in dry skin, blemishes, accelerated signs of aging, etc. Same goes for using lemons; they have a pH of 2 and will also destroy the acid mantle. Anything you use on your face MUST be in the pH range of 4-6. A pH under 4 (or 3.5, can't remember) is reserved for professional chemical peels done by a professional. And nobody in their right mind creates skin care products with a pH as high as 9 :/

I love this and couldn't agree more! I'm an independent contractor so I'll work from home about two days a week and man, it's hard to stay motivated some times!

Awesome tips - cannot underestimate the power of getting dressed! I also feel good when I do my hair and makeup, even if I'm not planning on heading out. I'll have to try your tip on going to the coffee shop to edit pictures, as I can get stir-crazy in my apartment!

This article is so relatable for me, my little sister is my best friend and I never feel completely whole without her.
Megan -Jan 19, 2016, 5:24PM
I wish I was this close with my sister. We were close when we were younger, but not so much anymore. Life has pulled us in different directions. As weird as this may sound, I think my mom is my soul sister. Lol. She had me when she was a teenager so we kinda grew up together. We enjoy the same things and I know I would be lost without her.
