This week I am really excited to ask you all about the Studded Cuff Thermal Top that recently came out. I've got to confess, I am extra-excited for this top because it comes in an XL! We've started making just a few tops that come in a size XL, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will add more styles in XL! Adding to that, this top comes in quite a few different colors, which is always great, and I'm wondering which color you guys will think is the best!

Wow! I can't believe we've reached poll 30! It doesn't seem that long ago that we had our first poll! Last week we thought about which current Free People tights we like, and like a couple of weeks ago, the vote was really close! The winner with 149 votes was the Pondi Cherry Paisley Tight, followed closely by the Courtneyrose Footless Tights which got 143 votes!
This week I wanted to ask you about tube tops, because I can already tell that this spring they are going to be a really prominent style! It's time for our Thursday Poll! Last week I asked which drapey top out of four that we are currently selling appealed to you the most. Your favorites were the Double Drape Tank, with 164 votes, and the Embroidered Floral Hoodie with 136 votes. Excellent choices- especially the Embroidered Hoodie I think, since I have one myself! ;)
This week, I am trying to get myself out of this wintry mood and into a more springy frame of mind. We recently started coming out with our beach line for this year, and I am obsessed! I have been perusing all of our bathing suits with interest as they come out, and of course I want to know which one is your favorite so far!

My friends, it's time again for our Thursday Poll! Last week I asked for your opinion on a number of harem pants we are currently selling, and the majority of you responded that harem pants are not for you, with that option getting 283 votes! Very interesting! Those of you who did like the look of harem pants favored the We The Free Crinkle Jersey Harem Pants, with 95 votes!
This week, I've been thinking about drapey, voluminous tops. I love them right now, and I actually have not yet talked to anyone that does not! They are definitely a major trend right now! I think it may be because they are flattering on so many body types.
We have a number of drapey tops in our collection right now, and I'd be interested to know which one you find most appealing!
It's time again for our Thursday Poll! Last week, I wondered which color of our Solid Pullover Poncho you liked the most. Coral and Bark were very close, with votes of 108 and 104, respectively. After a hectic holiday season, the Thursday Poll is back with a vengeance! Last time, I asked whether you liked the Floral Tiered Convertible Skirt styled as a dress or a skirt, and the preference was overwhelmingly for the styling as a dress, with 351 votes! Having it styled as a skirt got 41 votes, with 2 votes for "other."
This week, I have been admiring all of our slips! We recently came out with a bunch of new ones, and I'm real curious to know what types of styles you like!
Have you seen the New York Times' recent little slide show of different black lacy tights and stockings? It's been passed around the home office lately, and it's been keeping my mind on black lacy tights! We have quite a few varieties of lacy tights right now, and I'd be interested to know which ones you like the most!

This last week in Philadelphia it finally started to get genuinely cold outside, and I imagine it has probably gotten at least a little bit cooler everywhere else too! With the cold weather comes outerwear in various guises, and there are quite a few different ways of keeping warm!
One way to keep warm is by wearing a cute coat, like our Parker Plaid Overcoat, shown here in charcoal.
Well, first off I would like to apologize for the lack of a poll last week, and a late poll this week! Last week I am afraid I didn't notice it was Thursday until it already had become Friday! (I'm so embarrassed!) Then this week I wondered if the polls had perhaps become obsolete - but now I am happy to announce the return of the Thursday Poll in full force, due to popular demand! Hooray! Next week we will be back to normal, with the Thursday Polls showing up on Thursday!
For our fun little Friday poll this week, I wanted to ask you all about jeans, since lately I have been thinking about jean fits. It seemed to me that for a while, flared jeans went 'out' and skinny tight jeans were the only style that was 'in.' But lately I've noticed jeans of all styles and fits are coming 'in', and I love the variety!

I have been seeing vests everywhere the last few seasons, and I love it! We have come out with quite a few sweet little vests lately, and I've been just itching to get my hands on them!
Check out this cute Beaded Lace Vest! It also comes in lavender.
Labor Day weekend is almost here! A time for cookouts and parades and camping and all sorts of other fun activities... It also brings to mind the old "rule" of dress: No white after Labor Day, until Memorial Day. I was chatting today with a couple of the girls on the knits team, and we had somewhat varying opinions on how much power this rule still holds. Some feel this rule has gone totally obsolete, for others, strict observance remains. As for myself, I'll be wearing plenty of white shirts through winter, but you sure won't catch me in any white pants or skirts!
I am so curious to find out what you guys think of this rule! Please share!

As many of you know, our latest catalog came out this week, and so for our weekly poll I was curious about what you all think of our last few catalogs.
Below, to remind you which is which, are the front covers of our last three catalogs.
One of my favorites of our new items is the Wild At Heart Chiffon Dress, shown below in the two colors it comes in - teal and black. This dress is so stunning!
My question to you is, which color do you like better for this dress? Teal or black?
This week for our poll, we have a question for you all in regards to a couple of our current trends.
One trend that we are currently featuring in our stores is called "Wild at Heart." The inspiration for this trend is the outdoors, the beauty of nature, and ourselves within it. Sweaters, cable knits, lots of texture in general, thermals, and a natural color palette dominate this trend. You can also spot plenty of plaid and a long and lean look to this trend.
Here are a couple of items from this trend, to help give an idea of what it is about!
Another trend that you can currently find permeating our stores right now is called "Girls in Paris." The girl in Paris is more fashion-forward, and though her silhouettes are similar to those in Wild at Heart, they are edgier and a little flirtier too! This trend is dominated by a drapey, girly feel, with hints of stripes, art deco-type prints, and of course plenty of black!
A couple of examples follow below...
Our poll this week is a bit more light, but I'm curious to see what the response will be!
One of our latest items from the Wild at Heart trend is the Rows of Cable Dress. On the site, it is shown styled in a couple different ways.
One way is as a sort of jumper, worn over a long sleeved top.
Another way the dress is shown is alone- (though there is a cute slip under it!)
So, my question to you is, how do you like this dress styled? Alone? With a shirt underneath?
I can't believe a week has gone by already! But it is indeed Thursday, and my friends, it's time now for our Thursday poll.
This week, we are helping Megan, our Web Marketing Analyst, pick out a new coat for this fall. Whenever we are getting ready to sell a bunch of new items, the people in the web production room get a rack full of samples to help them write the copies and other similar tasks. This is how we got the chance to try out some of our new coats!
Here's a little note from Megan: "I always check out the new product when it is brought over to our area. The web producers go through it in order to write the copy. It is really fun to look at the clothes and feel the fabric. I was trying on the new jackets and coats the other day, and I love all of them! I definitely want a new one for fall, but I can't decide which one I like the most…"
The first coat Megan tried on was the Buffalo Swing Coat in grey, shown below.
Next, Megan tried the Rugged Herringbone Coat in blue, and gave us a fun and rather stately pose too! :)
